    Dungeon Crawl: Stone Soup

    Dungeon Crawl: Stone Soup

A game of dungeon exploration, combat and magic

An open source roguelike adventure through dungeons filled with dangerous monsters in a quest to find the mystifyingly fabulous Orb of Zot. Crawl may seem easier than many other roguelikes at first glance, but dig a little deeper and you'll find it's just as challenging as some of the most difficult variations out there and a good deal harder than the rest. A strong set of design philosophies makes it much friendlier (and generally fairer) to the player - deaths are a learning experience instead of an exercise in frustration. Crawl also sports a number of systems and mechanics that diverge from more traditional roguelikes. For example, there's less emphasis on character classes (or backgrounds in Crawl parlance); your character is defined more by their skills, species and choice of deity than their background. Crawl includes an in-game tutorial and manual in the name of providing something playable without the aid of a guide or wiki.

    Pyxel

    Pyxel

A retro game engine for Python

A retro game engine for Python. Thanks to its simple specifications inspired by retro gaming consoles, such as only 16 colors can be displayed and only 4 sounds can be played back at the same time, you can feel free to enjoy making pixel art style games. The motivation for the development of Pyxel is the feedback from users. Please give Pyxel a star on GitHub! Pyxel's specifications and APIs are inspired by PICO-8 and TIC-80. Pyxel is open source and free to use. Let's start making a retro game with Pyxel! Runs on Windows, Mac, Linux, and Web. Using the Pyxel Web Launcher or custom elements for HTML, you can run Pyxel in a web browser without any installation work. Pyxel supports a dedicated application distribution file format (Pyxel application file) that works across platforms. 8 musics that can combine arbitrary sounds.

    Tugeny

    Tugeny

Tugeny is a tournament organization software.

Tugeny is a software that allows to graphically design tournaments of any kind. It is supposed to simplify the process of creating the tournament bracket and the time schedule. Bracket and schedule can be checked for completeness and consistency. While the tournament runs, results can be entered. Tournaments can by synchronized with Tugeny Cloud so that participants have mobile access to an up-to-date schedule and anyone authorized by the organizers can enter results online. The Cloud also provides statistics for finished tournaments. As a special feature, a simulation can be run to determine and find ways to improve the quality of a tournament bracket or the delay of a schedule. This feature tackles the problem that in tournaments it often happens that a team’s achieved place does not properly reflect its level of play compared to the handful of teams above and below it. Tugeny was developed for the sport Jugger but should be usable for any kind of tournament.

    Linux Air Combat

    Linux Air Combat

Combat Flight Simulator for LINUX. WW2. Network and VOIP. Open-source.

WW2 Combat Flight Simulator. Free. Current Version: 9.75. This is now the world's leading open-source combat flight sim for LINUX. Linux Air Combat ("LAC") was derived from the classic "gl-117" game, after a huge re-write to create a far more realistic plane simulator. LAC runs on almost any desktop LINUX system (even Steam Deck & Raspberry Pi) and generates smooth, high-performance flight. Clean, open source code provides an easy option to compile it yourself, or use our precompiled executable in "AppImage" format to eliminate compiling on all popular X86 LINUX distros. If you don't want to compile from source code, just download the AppImage and run it! Control simulated flight with mouse and keyboard, console game controller, or joystick. Learn all about LAC from our primary, official Web Page: http://askmisterwizard.com/2019/LinuxAirCombat/LacOnlineDocs.htm Recent vid clips: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1IYes9MY6lKVUarE5wwKmwghs83Qjtz-

    Chess-gambiteer

    Chess-gambiteer

    Chess training program playing gambits

Program to train against gambit play (*) with the computer, with a strength adjustable chess engine (Danasah, currently set at approx 1400 EL0 when playing against it). Also included now are two options to watch the engine (with gambit book) play against another engine (either clublevel or IM level). The engine gambit books are made in such a way that 1) real lousy gambits are not played, and 2) the book is choosing a gambit line as often as possible, so for Black it might go for e.g. a Benko gambit or so and if you let it play with White, a lot of 1.e4 gambits can be played. Thereby, if you try a gambit yourself, the program might try to a counter-gambit (or sometimes an unconventional line). It will play weak against other engines, and it not meant as to play very strong/perfectly, but for human opponents, the gambit lines will most often result in entertaining -not boring- games, and require quite some concentration to avoid tactical mistakes.

grafx - Extensible Java Graphics Package

grafx - Extensible Java Graphics Package

Extensible Line-drawing & Polygon-filling Rasterization Libs for Java

Line-drawing and polygon-filling rasterization algorithms in Java. Simple 2D package and more complex 3D package with Z-buffering. Texture mapping not supported at the moment. Color interpolation for lines, Gouraud shading for polygons fully supported. Floating point vertex coordinates, not integer. Pixel-level aliasing, not endpoint aliasing. Doesn't use Bresenham line style! Works with all Java versions. No external dependencies. Suitable for study in academic institutions, especially as related to line-drawing accuracy. Particular attention to detail concerning chopping of accumulation errors, using a cast from 64 bit to 32 bit strategy, in the interval [1.0,2.0). Individual pixel errors with overlapping polygons or line segments are about one in a billion, but I can't reproduce any errors at the moment by using random number generation with tens of millions of cases. Emphasis not only on correctness, but also on performance for real-world use or hardware implementation.
