This was our fourth homebrew game project. This project was written for the Sega Master System and was a more playable game than previous efforts. That said, the game is small; not a lot of data was packed into the cartridge ROM because we hadn't perfected data compression at the time. Still, a strong milestone in the progression of our homebrew development skill set. -

This program emulate the Sega's System 16 arcade boards used by many Sega arcade game between 1987 & 1989 like Shinobi, Altered Beast or E-Swat. There is more than 20 existing System 16 games. The System 16 board uses a Motorola 68000 cpu at 10Mhz for the main program and a Z80 and on YM2151 for the sound. It animates some Lissajous figures. It is Boot-able.
This is a short simple boot-able program that animates some Lissajous figures. It can only run when the computer contains Bios, and when the computer is booted. The complete source code is here as an .asm file which can be compiled instantly with the Fasmw compiler. It has an interesting way of switching the computer into 64 bit Long mode. It actually switches the computer back and forth between 16 bit and 64 bit mode, easily, with an interesting technique.
