Vlc.DotNet is a .net library that hosts the audio/video capabilities of the VLC libraries. In other words, it's a .net wrapper around libvlc. That's why a new control has been written. To be fair, first versions of Vlc.DotNet were built with that technique, but back then, there were issues in the .net framework causing the memory usage to explode. As of 2018, this issue is resolved. The old WPF control was just a wrapper around the WinForms control. This led to some issues (Airspace issue...) and lacked some WPF-ish features. Vlc.DotNet is a .net library that hosts the audio/video capabilities of the VLC libraries. In other words, it's a .net wrapper around libvlc. It can work on any .net framework version starting from .net 2.0 and .net standard 1.3 (starting from Vlc.DotNet 2.2.1). On the front-end side, two components are currently available to make it easy to integrate in your apps. One is for WinForms, the other for WPF. -

Easy to extend, standard(CommonMark) compliant, well structured.golang-commonmark may be a good choice, but it seems to be a copy of markdown-it. blackfriday.v2 is a fast and widely-used implementation, but is not CommonMark-compliant and cannot be extended from outside of the package, since its AST uses structs instead of interfaces. Furthermore, its behavior differs from other implementations in some cases, especially regarding lists: Deep nested lists don't output correctly #329, List block cannot have a second line #244, etc. This behavior sometimes causes problems. If you migrate your Markdown text from GitHub to blackfriday-based wikis, many lists will immediately be broken. As mentioned above, CommonMark is complicated and hard to implement, so Markdown parsers based on CommonMark are few and far between. -

k3sup is a lightweight utility to get from zero to KUBECONFIG with k3s on any local or remote VM. All you need is ssh access and the k3sup binary to get kubectl access immediately. The tool is written in Go and is cross-compiled for Linux, Windows, MacOS and even on Raspberry Pi. This tool uses ssh to install k3s to a remote Linux host. You can also use it to join existing Linux hosts into a k3s cluster as agents. First, k3s is installed using the utility script from Rancher, along with a flag for your host's public IP so that TLS works properly. The kubeconfig file on the server is then fetched and updated so that you can connect from your laptop using kubectl. k3sup was developed to automate what can be a very manual and confusing process for many developers, who are already short on time. Once you've provisioned a VM with your favorite tooling, k3sup means you are only 60 seconds away from running kubectl get pods on your own computer. -
