    Fraqtive

    Fraqtive

Generator of the Mandelbrot family fractals

Fraqtive is an open source, multi-platform generator of the Mandelbrot family fractals. It uses very fast algorithms supporting SSE2 and multi-core processors. It generates high quality anti-aliased images and renders 3D scenes using OpenGL. It allows real-time navigation and dynamic generation of the Julia fractal preview. CloisterWalk

    CloisterWalk

Reveal fractal patterns in irrational numbers

CloisterWalk can test your favorite number or will let you choose a number from a list. Many provided numbers are known irrationals, others are still uncertain. Enter the number of steps you would like to walk and click the Go button to produce a graph. If a number does not seem interesting, try switching between the square and hexagonal grids. Can you predict what is going to happen next time you click the Go button? Can you figure out why fractal patterns emerge? Can CloisterWalk be...

    Double Fractal with 3D Prototype

    Double Fractal with 3D Prototype

Easily creates high complex fractal images. Includes 3D prototypes.

...These new fractals were called JP Random Sets. The brilliant environment Lazarus allowed Double Fractal to be ported from Delphi and now Double Fractal can be run on Windows, Linux and MAC OS X. Fractals are infinite complex images defined by a finite definition. We find in fractals a model to understand many different sciences such as economy, health and weather. Many scientists love fractals. Double Fractal is a program that creates fast and easily high complex images. No specific knowledge is needed to use this program, it is a program that can be run just for fun. ...

    perlineditor

Interactively create textures with Perlin noise

Perlin noise is a form of noise with local coherence. It's used in creating all kinds of graphics, from wood efffects to marble. The editor lets you create an image with Perlin noise interactively, and save it as a gif. You can change the noise parameters, and you can edit the palette, either loading it from a gif, or using the palette editor (right click to open the color picker, left click to move the two selection points about). There's also a handy tool for tuning the palette as the...

    Recursion Lab

Visually explore patterns created using geometrical recursion.

Take two reference points and use them to define an x-axis. Then add in some other points to form any pattern. Use each reference point with each pattern point to form a new x-axis on which each pattern point is reiterated. Throw in a few more dazzling features (such as colors, a visualizer mode, blending, render exporting, and more) and you have a Recursion Lab.
