...Based on a given text of at least 3 characters (only letters, no digits or spaces) a start value for the hexagon figure is calculated. A set of colours is used to fill in the hexagon. It is possible to change the colours which can result in a figure to give a totally different impression. (on the colour changes only!) Changing the way the calculations are done is possible (in the configuration .ini file) which will have a far greater impackt. Read the 'Readme.txt' for details. Biomorphs are a way of explaining evolution invented by Richard Dawkins. The shapes are controlled by a small set of genes, which give colour, segment length, size, and degree of recursion. By changing a gene by a small amount, a small difference is made in neighbours. Many fascinating shapes can be found, and you can often home in on a desired shape by selecting relatives that are closer to your goal. The program uses the Baby X toolkit. -

MandelHash

I'm using an MD5 hash of a username and password field to generate some entropy which is used to generate color pallets and positions / scaling of two Mandelbrot sets. These two images are overlaid to create interesting pictures which represent the entered credentials. I'm interested in all things security, this is mostly just for fun, but could possibly be used to help users identify mistakes in their password entry prior to submission and enforce a tighter failed password lockout policy. ... -
