GUN is a small, easy, and fast data sync and storage system that runs everywhere JavaScript does. The aim of GUN is to let you focus on the data that needs to be stored, loaded, and shared in your app without worrying about servers, network calls, databases, or tracking offline changes or concurrency conflicts. This lets you build cool apps fast. When a browser peer asks for data, it'll merge the reply with its own data using a CRDT, then cache the result. GUN is fully decentralized (peer-to-peer or multi-master), meaning that changes are not controlled by a centralized server. A server can be just another peer in the network, one that may have more reliable resources than a browser. You save data on one machine, and it will sync it to other peers without needing a complex consensus protocol. It just works. GUN can be used in both browsers and servers. We have made it easy to install in many different environments.

Here we introduce a Genomic Epidemiology Ontology (GenEpiO) that covers vocabulary necessary to identify, document and research food-borne pathogens and associated outbreaks. We envision various subdomains including genomic laboratory testing, specimen and isolate metadata, and epidemiological case investigations. The project files are currently hosted at https://github.com/GenEpiO/genepio/ . Here we provide the genepio-consortium@lists.sourceforge.net listserve. Terms for these subdomains have partially been implemented in the main file, **genepio.owl**, which imports terms from over 25 OboFoundry.org ontologies. Also we have added a number of terms that so far haven't been covered via OboFoundry. Recognizing that GenEpiO encompasses many domains, we are advocating a consortium approach for enhancing its content via interested parties that need particular domain terminology.

Gutenberg is a flexible and simple-to-use web typography starter kit for web designers and developers. It’s a small step towards a better typography on the web. Beautiful typographic styles can be made by setting base type size, line height (leading), and measure (max-width). Gutenberg is a work-in-progress project by Matej Latin that brings meaning and craftsmanship to web typography. The reader should be able to read the message of a text easily and comfortably. This depends to a not inconsiderable extent on the size of the type, the length of the lines and the leading. Gutenberg sets the baseline grid to establish a proper vertical rhythm and makes sure all elements fit into it. It sets up the macro typography so you can focus on the micro–typographic details. All calculations in Gutenberg depend on base type size and line-height. Multiplication of these two results in leading which is essential for setting a correct vertical rhythm and a baseline grid.

HTML5 Placeholder jQuery Plugin is a jQuery plugin that enables HTML5 placeholder behavior for browsers that aren’t trying hard enough yet. You’ll still be able to use jQuery.val() to get and set the input values. If the element is currently showing a placeholder, .val() will return an empty string instead of the placeholder text, just like it does in browsers with a native @placeholder implementation. Calling .val('') to set an element’s value to the empty string will result in the placeholder text (re)appearing. The plugin automatically adds class="placeholder" to the elements that are currently showing their placeholder text. You can use this to style placeholder text differently.
