    Cozette

    Cozette

A bitmap programming font optimized for coziness

...Cozette is a 6x13px (bounding box; average 5px character width, 3px descent, 10px ascent, 8px cap height) bitmap font based on Dina, which itself is based on Proggy. It's also heavily inspired by Creep. I absolutely adore Creep, and was using it up until I got a higher-DPI screen for which it was slightly too small. That prompted me to make the bitmap font I always wished existed: Cozette; a small-but-not-tiny bitmap font with great coverage of all the glyphs you might encounter in the terminal. I'm intentionally putting the emphasis on "you" - although Cozette already has all the glyphs I've seen in my CLI tools so far, you might find it's missing a glyph you wish it had. ...

    Monocraft

    Monocraft

A programming font based on the typeface used in Minecraft

...The characters in this font were based on the typeface used in the Minecraft UI, with a select few glyphs updated for better readability and spacing. Each character has been carefully redesigned to work in a monospaced font. Thin characters like “i” and “l” have been reworked with tasteful tails and serifs to look better in a monospaced environment. Add some spice to your programming life with all new ligature characters. Arrows now look like arrows and comparison operators are easier to see at a glance. After following the installation instructions up above, simply select the "Monocraft" font (note the space) in any application that supports custom fonts.

    ProgrammingFonts

    ProgrammingFonts

This is a collection of programming fonts

...Most of the important and popular programming languages are built on English characters, so the programming fonts must support English characters. All of the characters must be easily identified. There must be no confusion about some similar characters, such as l and 1, o and 0, i and l, and g and 9.

    3270font

    3270font

    A 3270 font in a modern format

This font is derived from the x3270 font, which, in turn, was translated from the one in Georgia Tech's 3270tool, which was itself hand-copied from a 3270 series terminal. I built it because I felt terminals deserve to be pretty. The .sfd font file contains a x3270 bitmap font that was used for guidance. The "source" file is edited using FontForge. You'll need it if you want to generate fonts for your platform. On most civilized operating systems, you can simply apt-get install fontforge, yum install fontforge or even port install fontforge. ...

    Vazirmatn Font

    Vazirmatn Font

    Vazirmatn is a Persian/Arabic font

Vazirmatn is a Persian/Arabic font project that started in 2015 under the name of Vazir with the idea of a new simple and legible typeface suitable for web pages and applications. Design and development have taken a long way but I hope the results are worth it. Thanks to DejaVu Sans font (v2.35) published in public domain there was a free software base to start the Vazir project. Although Vazir was completely different in typeface, still the original software was common. The design is done in Fontforge. For Latin glyphs, Vazirmatn is combined with Roboto font by a build script, however, there is also a version without Latin glyphs (Non-Latin). ...

Source Han Code JP Version 2.010 is released. This version supports style-linking in apps that include 'B' (Bold) and 'I' (Italic) buttons in their font menu. The sorting of the font names in some apps is also improved. U+2423 '␣' OPEN BOX now has a monospaced horizontal advance of 667 units (the previous version used 1000 units). Style-linking is now supported correctly, meaning that you can access 'Bold' and 'Italic' styles by pressing the 'B' or 'I' buttons in apps that support style linking. ...

    Work Sans

    Work Sans

    A grotesque sans

Work Sans was made in part on the stolen lands of the Wurundjeri and Boon Wurrung people of the Kulin nations. I pay my respect to their elders, past, present and future. Sovereignty has never been ceded. Work Sans has been updated between 2018–2020 with accompanying italics, and variable font files and the character set has been expanded to the Google Latin Expert glyph set, which will now support Vietnamese along with these additional languages.

    Fantasque Sans Mono

    Fantasque Sans Mono

A font family with a great monospaced variant for programmers

...Both versions include the same ranges of characters, latin letters, some accented glyphs (quite a lot), some greek letters, some arrows. It also features a good italic version, which I designed in a fashion similar to Consolas' italic version, with new glyph designs, not just an added slant.

    dosega

retro TTF font mimicing old EGA font

This is a TrueType font (TTF), that is an exact copy of the font used by DOS. I made it using the FontForge software, and the *.CPI fonts bundled with FreeDOS as a model. DOS/EGA is a Unicode-BMP font, therefore it may be used without troubles on modern, multilingual systems. It supports english, french, polish, german, and probably several other languages. Beside its "retro" value, it's a great replacement to the oldish "fixedsys" font.

    Creep

    Creep

a pretty sweet 4px wide pixel font

A pretty sweet 4px wide pixel font. I never found the pixel font that was perfect for me, so I decided to roll my own with creep. It is a pretty compact (only 4px wide!) font that's great for smaller screens (like my 11" laptop). I'm constantly adding in new characters (diacritics, box-drawing characters, etc.), so I figured I'd put it up on GitHub for people to reap benefits of this.
