    Hyprspace

    Hyprspace

A Lightweight VPN Built on top of IPFS + Libp2p

A Lightweight VPN Built on top of IPFS & Libp2p. Libp2p is a networking library created by Protocol Labs that allows nodes to discover each other using a Distributed Hash Table. Paired with NAT hole punching this allows Hyprspace to create a direct encrypted tunnel between two nodes even if they're both behind firewalls. Moreover! Each node doesn't even need to know the other's ip address prior to starting up the connection. This makes Hyprspace perfect for devices that frequently migrate between locations but still require a constant virtual ip address.

    Incubed Client in C

    Incubed Client in C

The IN3 client (written in C)

Most blockchains, such as Ethereum, require a client to connect to their blockchain network. Often, these clients require a lot of storage, a very high bandwidth or constant computation. While this is possible to perform on laptops or desktop systems, mobile devices, mobile app, and even web applications struggle to meet these requirements. Currently the solution of choice is to use a light client or remote client on mobile devices. While this may work for mobile phones, most IoT devices are unable to run light clients. Connecting an IoT device to a remote node enables even low-performance IoT devices to be connected to blockchain. However, by using distinct remote nodes, the advantages of a decentralized network are undermined introducing a single point of failure. Also, it is unsecure because the client is not able to verify the results by itself. The same applies for mobile apps or web pages.

    Lens

    Lens

Lens is an opt-in search engine and data collection tool

Lens is an opt-in search engine and data collection tool to aid content discovery of the distributed web. It exposes a simple, minimal API for intelligently indexing and querying content on IPFS. Initially integrated with Temporal, Lens will allow users to optionally have the data they upload be searched and indexed and be awarded with RTC for participating in the data collection process. Users can then search for content using a simple-to-use API. Searching through Lens will be facilitated through Temporal web. Optionally, we will have a service independent from Temporal which users can submit content to have it be indexed. This however, is not compensated with RTC. In order to receive the RTC, you must participate through Lens indexing within the Temporal web interface.

    Nebula libp2p DHT

    Nebula libp2p DHT

A libp2p DHT crawler, monitor, and measurement tool

A libp2p DHT crawler and monitor that tracks the liveness of peers. The crawler connects to DHT bootstrap peers and then recursively follows all entries in their k-buckets until all peers have been visited. The crawler supports the IPFS, Filecoin, Polkadot, Kusama, Rococo, Westend networks and more. The crawler can store its results as JSON documents or in a postgres database - the --dry-run flag prevents it from doing either. Nebula will print a summary of the crawl at the end instead. A crawl takes ~5-10 min depending on your internet connection. You can also specify the network you want to crawl by appending, e.g., --network FILECOIN and limit the number of peers to crawl by providing the --limit flag.

    Prometheus Spec

    Prometheus Spec

Censorship-resistant trustless state channels for machine learning

Censorship resistant decentralised computing is a new topic in distributed systems theory. With the recent rise in popularity of Bitcoin as a censorship-resistant financial and transactional system a new technological field of blockchain and its applications appeared. This work addresses the problem of computational integrity proofs (correctness of the actual computations) made by some non-trusted (anonymous) third party without repeating the whole volume of the actual computing. The issue is usually addressed by use of probabilistically checkable proofs (PCP), however, such simple approach leave untouched the question of coupling the payments for the consumed computational resources with the actual proof. The purpose of our protocol is to scale distributed calculations by obtaining results of nearly perfect (measurable) quality, without the need to repeat calculations or check the computational integrity proofs by the client.

    ipfs-check

A tool for checking the accessibility of your data by IPFS peers

A tool for checking the accessibility of your data by IPFS peers. go build will build the server binary in your local directory. go install will build and install the server binary in your global Go binary directory (e.g. ~/go/bin) There are web assets in the web that interact with the Go HTTP server that can be deployed however you deploy web assets. Maybe just deploy it on IPFS and reference it with DNSLink. For anything other than local testing you're going to want to have a proxy to give you HTTPS support on the Go server.

    ipwb

    ipwb

A distributed and persistent archive replay system using IPFS

InterPlanetary Wayback (ipwb) facilitates permanence and collaboration in web archives by disseminating the contents of WARC files into the IPFS network. IPFS is a peer-to-peer content-addressable file system that inherently allows deduplication and facilitates opt-in replication. ipwb splits the header and payload of WARC response records before disseminating into IPFS to leverage the deduplication, builds a CDXJ index with references to the IPFS hashes returned, and combines the header and payload from IPFS at the time of replay. An important aspect of archival replay systems is rewriting various resource references for proper memento reconstruction so that they are dereferenced properly from the archive from around the same datetime as of the root memento and not from the live site (in which case the resource might have changed or gone missing). Many archival replay systems perform server-side rewriting, but it has its limitations when URIs are generated using JavaScript.
