FTPprune is a Perl script to manage the size of a remote ftp archive. It was originally developed to manage offsite copies of Zoneminder CCTV events, but can be used with any FTP file archive. FTPprune will go through the archive and remove the oldest files reducing the archive size to a maximum that you specify, optionally preserving the last (-a) days of files. One typical case is when a Windows-Client transfers files via FTP on a server using UTF-8. Such errors can't be corrected using convmv.
