files.md is a local-first Markdown workspace for notes, documents, journals, projects, checklists, and tasks. It is designed around the idea that personal knowledge should remain in plain .md files instead of being locked inside a complex database or proprietary note format. The app works in the browser, can run offline, and keeps files on the user’s device unless a chosen sync option is configured. It favors simplicity over feature overload, encouraging users to think, write, connect ideas, and maintain their own file structure.
