Zstandard is a fast compression algorithm, providing high compression ratios. It also offers a special mode for small data, called dictionary compression. This is a better archive manager developed for Linux systems. Its name is a playful reference to WinRAR. It also supports compression and extraction in the RAR format. However, you must install the RAR package on your system. Since this package is proprietary, it wouldn't be appropriate to include it in the program, and we wanted to leave the choice to the user. The program has been packaged and made ready for use on Debian-based systems.
