The sandbox libraries (libsandbox & pysandbox) are an open-source suite of software components for C/C++ and Python developers to create automated profiling tools and watchdog programs. The API's are designed for executing and instrumenting simple (single process) tasks, featuring policy-based behavioral auditing, resource quota, and statistics collecting. The sandbox libraries were originally designed and utilized as the core security module of a full-fledged online judge system for ACM/ICPC training. They have since then evolved into a general-purpose tool for binary program testing, profiling, and security restriction. The sandbox libraries are currently maintained by the OpenJudge Alliance (http://openjudge.net/) as a standalone, open-source project to facilitate various assignment grading solutions for IT/CS education. A simple application for displaying time-remaining for an event, such as for cooking, chess playing, debate speech timing, or governing floor-time at a public speaking event, such as paper presentations. The numbers appear large enough to be seen at a distance, or the display can be shrunk into the corner of a presentation screen. The time-remaining display changes color, as a warning, near end of the duration. Display also shows elapsed time, and has a pause/resume button. The application is a simple stand-alone executable that can be placed on any machine, and does not require internet connection to use it. Can be used to count-down time for events lasting less than one minute, hours, days, or up to a year.

Open-source RTOS and Embedded Systems Toolkit for C++ and C
Mark3 is a sophisticated RTOS and embedded systems toolkit, targeted towards a growing list of MCUs. Beyond providing "just another scheduler", it provides heaps, drivers, a shell, an event-driven GUI framework, and much more! It currently supports a variety of Atmel AVR, MSP430, and the ARM Cortex-M series of microcontrollers, with other platforms to follow. Mark3 was designed from the ground-up using disciplined object-oriented design principles - and unlike the vast majority of free or commercial RTOS' is written in C++, with bindings for C-language compatibility. The carefully designed object model drastically reduces the overall size and complexity of the source code, leading to enhanced code reuse, stability, and modularity. It also makes the source easier to understand - any experienced C/C++ developer should be able to understand the relationship between objects in the system, as well as use and extend them to fit a given application.
