An operating system based on the best Windows NT design principles
ReactOS is an open source effort to develop a quality operating system that is compatible with applications and drivers written for the Microsoft Windows NT family of operating systems (NT4, 2000, XP, 2003).
The Common Desktop Environment, the classic UNIX desktop
The Common Desktop Environment was created by a collaboration of Sun, HP, IBM, DEC, SCO, Fujitsu and Hitachi. Used on a selection of commercial UNIXs, it is now available as open-source software for the first time. For support, see: https://sourceforge.net/p/cdesktopenv/wiki/Home/
The Window Maker Live Linux distribution
The Window Maker Live CD is an installable Linux live CD/ISO, and is based mostly on the recently released “Jessie” branch of Debian. While its main purpose is to provide a show case for the Window Maker window manager, which serves as its default graphical user interface and therefore has received special preconfiguration care, it can also be considered as an alternative installation CD for Debian/Jessie. As such, wmlive is fully compatible with and relies on the official Debian/Jessie repositories for security updates and bug fixes. Refer to http://wmlive.rumbero.org for more detailed information and even more screenshots.
Li-f-e: Linux for Education
openSUSE Education is a community driven project with the aim to provide the best Linux experience for students, teachers, parents and educational institutions. Visit http://en.opensuse.org/Portal:Education for more information. Li-f-e based on Ubuntu also available https://sourceforge.net/projects/cyberorg-home/files/Li-f-e/
XBMC Skinning Project is a side-project for hosting open source skins and skinning tools for XBMC Media Center. Any skin author/developer may apply to join to get write access to this projects CVS/SVN/GIT, tracking tools, file publishing, and more.
The Virtual Tab Window Manager. vtwm is a descendant of the reference X11 window manager, twm, enhanced to provide virtual desktops plus many other features, whilst remaining small and efficient.
64-BIt Operating System with Compiler
TempleOS is a 64-bit kernel with compiler, graphics library and tools. It is not a Unix. It was made from scratch.
Perix is a 16/32 protected mode kernel, bootable and capable of running without an operating system. It is written in Turbo Pascal 7.0 for DOS, Delphi 7.0, Pascal Pro, Virtual Pascal v2.1, TASM and JWASM. Turbo pascal version can be used as kernel on its own, or as a second stage loader to external programs. I would like to announce, that the first attempt to put the Delphi 64bit to work was successful. As soon as possible I will place at the disposal a very small 64bit kernel version.
FreeMiNT is a free alternative OS kernel for Atari systems & clones
FreeMiNT provides the basis of a free TOS compatible replacement OS that can multitask. Used together with the free system components fVDI (device drivers), XaAES (graphical user interface widgets), and TeraDesk (desktop manager), it provides a modern user interface.
A fast, unobtrusive and modern cross-platform GUI toolkit. Agar fully exploits hardware acceleration where available, but also supports simple frame-buffer interfaces. Agar is stand-alone and easily portable to new platforms and graphics systems.
SDL Framework (SDLFW) SDLFW is a cross-platform framework from the powerful SDL library to create your own 2D games with the Lua programming language. It's easy-to-use, free, open-source, and works on Windows and Linux.
The Wizard Desktop is a set of simple applications that maintain a common user experience along with a simple window manager. The underlying framework will allow a single-user multiple network connected computers paradigm. Communications between the framework and applications are standardized, programs can be swapped out at will. Please visit the OpenHub site.

Low Power Solar/WindPower Capable -Fast FRee ATSC 8VSB OTA DVR Backend
ffreTv-backend was forked from upstream mythtv ffretv-backend is in transition from Linux---> NetBSD & FreeBSD *The Current Hardware Reference Platform is the RaspberryPi2 on NetBSD 7(armv7hf) *tuner Hardware will be limited to network devices only at first. *Perhaps more later. I will switch/use or upgrade to whatever ARM reference hardware with low power , that works best for this projects design goals. Current Intentions/Design Goals: -Automatic Setup for ATSC 1.0 8VSB/(up to 4 Tuners) EIT Installation using automythsvr shell scripts. -Planned, Automatic DVB EIT installations. -Remote and/or Rural usage scenarios. -Designed for OFFLINE USE. EIT/Embedded Scheduling only. No network connection needed. -Solar Power Design assembly model. -Ultra Low Power (<10Watt Range @5.1vdc) -Solid State Storage Device that supports TRIM Recommended -HDTV -ATSC Over The Air (OTA) Specific*with planning for DVB-T as ATSC updates
