The OS561 operating system based around FORTH/Java. The OS is to run on a VHDL chip OpenHardware design called the Minon, but could become available for other platforms. The unique point of the design is a revolutionary data compression technology.
A small multitasking OS to run on 65C816 based systems. Features to include a GUI support for as much HW for the supported systems as possible and a system of system extensions for easy expandability of the OS. The initial Development is being done on the Apple IIgs, with plans to port to the Commodore 64 with a SuperCPU. Eventually there will be ports to other 8 and 16-bit CPUs beginning with the 6502, followed by the z80, 6800, 6809, 8086, PDP-11, and then the TMS9900. Once these are complete there will be 32-bit ports to the 680x0, ARM, MIPS, etc.
A rethinking of the Operating System Ecosystem.
This is the fifth or sixth generation of this idea, the big difference being that we have written some bootloader code and have started mapping out the kernel layout and structure. We have decided upon a core programming language for the kernel, and the core language for almost everything else. With a focus on isolating the MAJOR kernel features from the system itself, in what until now has remained research only instances, we hope to create a fully functioning exokerne. All code at this time will be available only via a git repository.
SuperWikia: The Runtime/Realtime Environment for Codesmiths
The SuperWikia Alpha 1.0 application is an IDE specifically developed for 3D and graphic content. Its built upon the Unity foundation and incorporates various libraries from Komodo IDE, wxDevC++, CodeBlocks, QT Creator and other applications. Its Realtime purpose is an IDE (codesmith developer access), its Runtime (U/I) function is as a space building simulator, operating in conjunction with the SuperWikia 'Navigator' user interface to simulate space economics and fleet operations. It allows users (known as 'data fleet navigators' or DFN's) to compete in tourneys over vast regions known as 'expanses' and to create envoys that manage onsite and offsite stations. Using additional SuperWikia components, users may enhance their experience with plugins and 'dataplates' that help build the Runtime environment. Codesmiths (SuperWikia Alpha developers) can also build on top of the codebase using 'transcribes', acronym/algebraic encodes that differentiate codesmith works.
