Your linux deployment tool!
m23 is a free software distribution system (license: GPL), that installs (via network, starting with partitioning and formatting) and administrates (updates, adds / removes software, adds / removes scripts) clients with Debian, (X/K)Ubuntu, LinuxMint, openSUSE, Fedora and CentOS. It is used for deployment of Linux clients in schools, institutions and enterprises. The m23 server is controlled via a web interface. A new m23 client can be installed easily in only three steps. Group functions and mass installation tools make managing a vast number of clients comfortable. The integration of existing clients (with .deb-based distributions) into the system is possible, too. Client backup and server backup are included to avoid data loss. With the integrated virtualisation software, m23 can create and manage virtual m23 clients, that run on real m23 clients or the m23 server. Scripts and software packages (for installation on clients) can be created directly from the m23 web interface.

In that same month comes on the scene BrazilFW Firewall and Router (BFW) with version 2.24, which is led by "Claudio" and "Marcelo - Brazil", running only on floppy disks, and being 2.30.1 the last version with this support . The following versions, as well having automatic detection of network cards, only run on large capacity media, such as hard disk (HD). Versions in Development: * 2.33.x: Uses kernel 2.4.x and is developed by Marcinho Samurai. * 3.x: Uses kernel 4.x and is developed by WoshMan

This program removes clicks, pops and bitrots from audio files
There is a one common problem in capturing audio from old vinyl disks. Many of the disks have scratches that impose needles to make little jumps producing short sharp noises named 'click'. My project's aim was to create a free software which able to remove this kind of noise from audio files produced by capturing vinyl disk. Also the application is able to remove some other kinds of short sharp noises like 'bitrots'. The program can detect start positions and lengths of clicks and replaces the damaged samples with interpolated ones automatically. Win 10 users can add the app from Wondows Store.

Text-to-Speech System for Galician and Spanish
Cotovía is a unit-selection text-to-speech system for Galician and Spanish. Its C++ code is distributed under the GPL3.0+ license, while each of the avaliable speaker voices has its own license. The speakers available at sourceforge are free for commercial and non-commercial uses. Another speaker, free for non-commercial uses, is avaliable through external links (see the Blog section). Cotovia has been developed by the University de Vigo and the center 'Ramón Piñeiro' for Research in Humanities, both in Galicia, Spain. Its development has involved a research group of linguists and engineers. Cotovía has been developed as a research project, therefore most of the work has been focused on the most interesting aspects from a scientific point of view. Cotovia files and installing instructions are available at the Files and Git sections.
