When saving or writing down a password, you may want to encrypt it using an encryption software like Encrypto available under my profile. ...It currently is only available for mac, but any of you can compile it for your Linux machines. Included with this shell are 3 nonbuiltin programs, which you can install during the installation of the "Operating System." OOS Mimics a UNIX Shell in every way I can think of, and acts as a little embedded Operating System. This, of course, allows for programs to be run. The nonbuiltin programs that I have developed and included include a game, a calculator, an encryption program, and another random program. FactHash
Factorial Hashing Function
...It produces variable length hash from a message block of the size you want. The resulting hash will be ~2x the message block in size, and should provide for at least as many bits of security as the block itself. I updated this, with a different hash than original, since I found a potential collision on some blocks, not but specific to that challenge. To further correct this, I modified the padding when it's less than the block size. I hold no guarantee of the security of this algorithm, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. I have had no 3rd party analysis done on the algorithm to date, but research is welcome, and a challenge is even provided in CHALLENGE.txt. -
