mystic-crypt is designed as a Java library that can be used for simple and complex encryption and decryption.
The source code for the library is available under https://github.com/astrapi69/mystic-crypt
For demonstration what the library can do there is a graphical client:
The source code for the ui is available under https://github.com/astrapi69/mystic-crypt-ui
Starting as a personal study project, I have decided to share this security project.
For now, it is a JAVA program that can be used to encrypt and decrypt simple file content (ie files), possibly later evolving into a utility with user interface and/or a library
I have packaged the Java encryption library with a wrapper used to make saving and loading files in Java easier. I have also included the source for a command line application to encrypt a String and save it to a text file.
The source for AESEncryption was actually written by "erickson" from Stack Overflow. The original post can be found here:

Welcome to Data Access Layer for Java (DAL4j) a set of command line tools and framework used to reverse engineer a MySQL or SQLServer database schema into a set of JPA Entity Beans.
DAL4j can be useful for scenarios where there is an existing database schema but a technology other that JPA is used to interact with the database. DAL4j can provide an easy way to migrate your code base from other technologies such as JDBC or Hibernate to JPA.
The beans generated can be 1 or two types:...
HcryptoJ (Historical cryptology in Java) is a Java based programming library for implementing and analyzing historical ciphers. HcryptoJ is designed to support research and teaching in historical cryptography and computer science. Licensed under GPL.
JFish is a simple Java implementation of the popular Twofish cryptography algorithm. It allows any application to easily implement powerful encryption, using a single small library and minimal code changes.
JSerpent is an easy to use Java implementation of the powerful Serpent cryptography algorithm. It can be easily implemented into any project, and is complete with ECB, padding, and a simple API.
JRijndael is a 100% pure Java implementation of the popular Rijndael (aka AES) cryptography algorithm. It's designed to be implemented as easily as possible and features ECB, padding, and a simple API.
A plattform independent encryption-tool with a simple user interface (swing/java). It uses 'Password Based Encryption' (PBE) to encrypt and/or decrpyt files on the filesystem. Encryted files will also be compressed using the zip-format.
