Arcan is a portable and fully scriptable frontend for launching games, emulators and other full-screen applications in a visual appealing way, as seamlessly as possible. The API is sufficiently complete for other projects as well, e.g. rapid game prototyping (both 2D and 3D). Note that we have left sourceforge (thanks for all the spam). JStella is a Java-based Atari 2600 VCS emulator. It allows one to play old Atari 2600 games in an operating system independent manner. It also supports web page based applets. Its emulation core is based on Stella-Atari 2600 Emulator.

ArduSim provides API level simulation of an Arduino. Arduino sketches can be run and debugged on PC with no modification. ArduGate is a sub-project of ArduSim. The agent sketch is shared.

NESRomTool is a command-line based utility for extraction and injection of Nintendo ROM data from .nes files. It currently works with program and sprite data and can preview individual sprites in the terminal window.

VisualAp is a visual framework for building application and systems based on visual components. Users can add their own visual components in order to extend the capability of VisualAp. Tested with Windows XP, Vista, 7 and Ubuntu.

zBoy is a multiplatform GameBoy emulator that provides a load/save feature, can perform PCX screenshots either manually or automatically (every few seconds) and emulates an internal battery for ROMs that were designed to use one (this allows to use the internal save option provided by such games, remember highest scores, etc). zBoy supports some additionnal features, too, like intelligent saving of hi-scores for some games that aren't able to save their hi-scores table by themselves because of the lack of a battery-backed RAM on the cartridge, and improving screen's resolution output using graphic algorithms like Scale2x, Scale3x, eagle... Here you can see a comparison between graphic algorithms supported by zBoy. This is also one of the very few GameBoy emulators that provides a 2-gameboys link emulation, which makes it possible to play some games in 2-players mode on a LAN. The emulator is available for Linux, DOS and Windows (but should compile for other systems, too).

Basilisk II is a free, portable, Open Source 68k Mac emulator.

Avrora is a suite of tools for analyzing and debugging programs for AVR microcontrollers. It has support for a sensor platforms such as Mica2 and MicaZ, allowing wireless network simulation and allows dynamic instrumentation and static analysis.
