Type xset to open the settings. They live inside the terminal and change as you slide them.
Inside the distro, sudo, su and apt work as usual, and dpkg installs .deb packages. Every download is checked before anything is unpacked.
In 1.0.6, Kali opens all the way to a prompt, and package installs on Kali Full finish.
