    Boxedwine

    Boxedwine

Emulator that can run 32-bit Windows programs/games

Boxedwine is a cross-platform emulator that enables users to run Windows applications by combining a Wine runtime with a custom emulated Linux kernel and CPU environment. Instead of relying on a native Linux system, it creates a fully self-contained execution environment that allows Windows binaries to run on platforms such as macOS, Linux, Windows, and even web browsers via WebAssembly. The project is written primarily in C++ and leverages SDL for graphics and input handling, providing a flexible runtime capable of supporting a wide range of applications. ...

    Sogen

    Sogen

    Windows User Space Emulator

Sogen is a high-performance Windows user-space emulator designed to operate at the syscall level, offering deep control over process execution and behavior. Unlike traditional emulators that reimplement full operating system APIs, Sogen works closer to the kernel boundary by intercepting and emulating system calls, allowing it to leverage native system libraries while maintaining granular control. This approach makes it particularly valuable for advanced use cases such as malware analysis, reverse engineering, and DRM research, where precise observation and manipulation of execution flow are critical. ...

    Strato

    Strato

Run Nintendo Switch homebrew & games on your Android device

...It builds upon earlier emulator efforts such as Skyline while incorporating improvements and optimizations tailored for mobile hardware constraints. The emulator focuses heavily on high-level emulation of Switch subsystems, including kernel services and GPU behavior, to achieve usable performance on smartphones. It leverages components inspired by established projects like Ryujinx and Yuzu, particularly in areas such as shader compilation and system emulation. Strato emphasizes accessibility by targeting Android devices directly, removing the need for desktop-class hardware for Switch emulation. ...

    Cxbx-Reloaded

    Cxbx-Reloaded

    Xbox (Original) Emulator

Cxbx-Reloaded is an open-source emulator that enables original Xbox games and software to run on modern Windows systems and compatible environments like Wine. It aims to recreate the Xbox hardware and software stack through a combination of high-level and low-level emulation techniques, including kernel emulation and GPU translation layers. The project is notable for its focus on compatibility and accuracy, with ongoing efforts to expand the number of playable titles and improve performance. It supports Direct3D-based rendering and integrates networking features to emulate Xbox system behavior more realistically. Unlike simpler emulators, Cxbx-Reloaded includes deep reverse engineering of the Xbox kernel and system APIs, allowing it to execute games without requiring the original console firmware in many cases. ...

    Null-modem emulator

The virtual serial port driver for Windows.

The Null-modem emulator (com0com) is a kernel-mode virtual serial port driver for Windows. You can create an unlimited number of virtual COM port pairs and use any pair to connect one COM port based application to another. The HUB for communications (hub4com) allows to receive data and signals from one COM or TCP port, modify and send it to a number of other COM or TCP ports and vice versa.
