Ficl - small systems scripting with OO
Ficl is a lightweight, embeddable scripting language designed to be incorporated into other programs, and especially embedded systems that may have memory and OS constraints. Applications include scripting, hardware bring-up, rapid prototyping, and system extensions. Unlike Lua or Python, Ficl acts as a component of your system - you feed it stuff to do, it does the stuff, and comes back to you for more. You can export compiled code to Ficl, execute Ficl code from your compiled code, or interact. Your choice.

    WinDS

    WinDS

Windows XP reimplemented on Nintendo DS

...Since i started coding Apps for the NDS, my goal was to write a program, called WinDS, which does (nearly) the same as the real appy by Microsoft. In contrast to other little NDS-Operating Systems, just like Woopsi etc. you can code your own Application in Lua for WinDS: just copy the Code onto the FAT-Disk and execute it from within WinDS! This is what makes WinDS so unique. The New Beta 0.95 is out, it features - 52 Classes that are already available within Lua - 25 different types of user interface classes - 8 different predefined dialogs which makes it the perfect GUI sandbox for DS. ...

    Partially Reconfigurable Hardware

Framework for Adaptive Hardware Concurrent Systems with DPR-FPGAs

...It shows that control systems benefit from hardware concurrency, meaning that by moving the control intelligence into hardware, the negative effects inherent to threads and their scheduler are minimized. This leaves software with the role of a high-level administrator rather than an executor, thereby eliminating unnecessary bottlenecks. The tools described in this project enable the hardware engineer to develop DPR-FPGA systems more effectively for rapid control system development.
