OpenChange is a portable Open Source implementation of Microsoft Exchange server and Exchange protocols. It provides a complete solution to interoperate with Microsoft Outlook clients or Microsoft Exchange servers. OpenChange client-side library is used in existing messaging clients and is the solution in new projects to communicate natively with Microsoft Exchange and Exchange-compatible servers. OpenChange server is a transparent Microsoft Exchange server replacement using native Exchange protocols and does not require any plugin installation in Outlook.

Note! Code and issues are maintained at https://github.com/sba1/simplemail. SimpleMail is a simple to use but powerful mail client. It supports the SMTP, POP3 and IMAP (in a simple form) protocols. Furthermore, among much other features, it is capable of showing HTML mails and can identify spam mails by using a Bayesian filter.

Pluto is an email and newsgroup reader for the RISC OS operating system (see https://www.riscosopen.org/), developed by Jonathan Duddington from 1997 to 2004. It stores emails and news articles in Boxes, and they can be Listed, Viewed, Written, Spell checked, Replied to, Searched and even Spoken out loud! After Pluto was released under GPLv3 here on SourceForge in 2013, it has had many improvements. Pluto runs on any version of RISC OS later than v3.10, including RISC OS 5 computers such as the Raspberry Pi, BeagleBoard, IGEPv5, Iyonix, PandaBoard, Wandboard, PineA64 and Titanium as well as the older Risc PC and Archimedes series. From v3.16 onwards the RISC OS version of eSpeak is not included in the Pluto download, but separately in the Files espeak directory. The espeak project itself is on https://espeak.sourceforge.net/ but seems currently dormant. CSCMail is an X/Gtk based MUA. It supports the POP3 protocal and can also read mailspool files/directories. It supports multiple accounts, filters, GPG, MIME, Spellchecking, HTML Mail (view only) and a host of other features.
