Learning operating system development using Linux kernel and Raspberry

This project provides a step-by-step educational guide on building a simple operating system kernel entirely from scratch, specifically targeting the Raspberry Pi 3. The operating system, referred to as RPi OS, is inspired by the Linux kernel but remains intentionally minimal to focus on clarity and teaching fundamental OS concepts. Each lesson introduces a kernel feature and demonstrates its implementation within RPi OS, followed by a comparison to how the same concept is realized in the Linux kernel. ...

    3 Rs of Software Architecture

    3 Rs of Software Architecture

A guide on how to write readable, reusable, and refactorable software

...It focuses on three architectural “ilities”: readability, reusability, and refactorability, presenting them in a hierarchical framework so developers can evaluate and improve their code and system design. The project uses a simple shopping-cart application written in JavaScript and React/Redux to illustrate how code evolves from “bad” via “better” to “good” across those three dimensions. By examining common smells—poor naming, deep nesting, long functions, tight coupling—readers learn how to restructure code to improve maintainability. ...

    Kaleidoscope

    Kaleidoscope

    Haskell LLVM JIT Compiler Tutorial

This repository is a Haskell port of the classic LLVM “Kaleidoscope” tutorial that walks you through building a tiny programming language from scratch. It covers the complete pipeline: tokenizing and parsing a simple, expression-oriented language, constructing an AST, and generating LLVM IR with a JIT so you can execute code interactively. Along the way it adds language features like user-defined functions, conditionals, loops, and operator precedence, demonstrating how each addition impacts parsing and codegen. Because it uses Haskell idioms, the code clearly separates pure syntax handling from effectful JIT operations, making the architecture easy to reason about. ...

    LineDDA

Enumerate every point on a line

Here is a nice little class we can use to enumerate each and every point on a line. We are using the Digital Differential Analyzer (DDA) approach. The idea of drawing a simple line is well supported by just about every graphical framework. What is less sure is the ability to enumerate through a set of points so as to choose just which points we are interested in. LineDDA also graphically demonstrates support for Positive Slope, Negative Slope, Zero and No Slope. Source code included in archive / jar.
