Program performs bird species recognition by their voices. In early stage of development but working well with some popular species and good samples quality.

Black Spot is a free stand alone software and method to estimate leaf area from images of leaves captured using standard flatbed scanners. This easy to use software allows the user to batch process a large number of samples from multiple species with minimal user input.

ElicitN uses R and a tcltk gui interface for eliciting a number from an appropriate expert. The code has been modified from it's original version designed specifically for eliciting the number of species on coral reefs from expert taxonomists. Given the importance of anthropogenic determinants in forest ecosystems within Europe, the objective of the FFSM++ model is to link the evidence arising from biological models with socio-economic determinants, where the expected returns of forest investments represent the main drivers. An (inventory-based) forest dynamic model is hence coupled with a (partial equilibrium) market module and a (micro-based) management one in a national level forest sector model for France (FFSM++). The model is fully open source (GPL3) with the sole exception that if you publish some document based on a modified version of FFSM++ you need to publish also the modifications you made.

PQ Calculator was developed as an easy-to-use and small application that acts as a gene and genotype frequency calculator according to Hardy Weinberg Law fro Ecology. All you have to do is input all the required variables and press the Calculate button, the software will do the rest.

EXPR is a software package for the recording and analysis of animal behaviour. Recording is done by pressing particular keyboard keys on the computer. The software then saves the sequence and timing of behaviours.
