ToxTrac is a free Windows program optimized for tracking animals. It uses an advanced tracking algorithm and includes Preprocessing, Background subtraction, Thresholding, Post-processing, and Filters. It is robust; very fast; and can handle one or several animals in one or several environments. The program provides useful statistics as output. Biosphere3D targets interactive landscape rendering based on a virtual globe. It supports DEM, satellite and aerial images, 3D models (Collada), 3D plant models, and Shapefiles. Biosphere3D was initially developed by the landscape visualization group of the Zuse Institute Berlin by Malte Clasen and is now developed further by Lenné3D GmbH. MCC-LIDAR is a C++ application for processing LiDAR data in forested environments. It classifies data points as ground or non-ground using the Multiscale Curvature Classification algorithm.

CDPOPgui is a GUI Frontend for CDPOP What is CDPOP? CDPOP (Cost Distance POPulations) is a spatially-explicit simulator of gene-flow in complex landscapes to explain observed population responses and provide a foundation for landscape genetics. The program implements individual-based population modeling with Mendelian inheritance on a resistant landscape. Simulation begins with an initial homogeneous population and followed by divergence through time as functions of individual based movement, breeding and dispersal on a continuous cost surface. Given the importance of anthropogenic determinants in forest ecosystems within Europe, the objective of the FFSM++ model is to link the evidence arising from biological models with socio-economic determinants, where the expected returns of forest investments represent the main drivers. An (inventory-based) forest dynamic model is hence coupled with a (partial equilibrium) market module and a (micro-based) management one in a national level forest sector model for France (FFSM++). The model is fully open source (GPL3) with the sole exception that if you publish some document based on a modified version of FFSM++ you need to publish also the modifications you made.
