PRTG Catches Network Issues Before They Cause Downtime

Threshold-based alerts flag problems early, so your team can act before users notice, not after.

Reactive troubleshooting usually means hearing about a problem from frustrated users, not your monitoring tool. PRTG sets threshold-based alerts across devices, servers and applications, notifying your team by email, SMS or push the moment a metric crosses a set limit. That means catching a failing disk or overloaded server before it becomes an outage and getting time back from firefighting. Start a free trial and set your first alerts today.

    Amplicon_Sequencing_Worfklow

    Amplicon_Sequencing_Worfklow

Analyzing amplicon data from sequences to stats

...I created this workflow to create a consistent set of methods for analyzing amplicon sequence data, from when you first receive the sequence data to statistical analyses & data visualization. All you need is to have the latest version of R installed, some experience with the command line & shell, and enough memory to run all of the programs. There are also instructions provided in case you are running these analyses via a computing cluster/Slurm workload manager. You can choose to go through the workflow using either an Rmd script, an html file, or a PDF, or via the homepage link provided. ...

    Fuzzy Ecospace Modelling

    Fuzzy Ecospace Modelling

FEM allows users to create fuzzy functional groups for use in ecology.

Fuzzy Ecospace Modelling (FEM) is an R-based program for quantifying and comparing functional disparity, using a fuzzy set theory-based machine learning approach. FEM clusters n-dimensional matrices of functional traits (ecospace matrices – here called the Training Matrix) into functional groups and converts them into fuzzy functional groups using fuzzy discriminant analysis (Lin and Chen 2004 – see main text for more information).

    Virtual Laboratory Environment

    Virtual Laboratory Environment

A multi-modeling and simulation environment to study complex systems

...The models can be developed with the DEVS formalism or with the classical mathematical formalism: Ordinary Differential Equation with Euler, Range-Kutta or QSS integrator, Finite state automaton (FDDEVS, UML State chart, Hybrid Petri net). The VLE environment provides an IDE to develop C++ models, DEVS coupled models. VLE have also three ports to use the VFL with Python, Java and R programming languages.

    Nelder Plot Designer

    Nelder Plot Designer

A Computer-aided Tool for Nelder Plot Design

...The difficulties with Nelder plot design is their uncommon layout and complex parameterization (Parrott et al. 2012). This computer-aided tool for designing the Nelder plot can be very useful for the practical implementation of this experimental design.\r\n\r\nReferences\r\nNelder JA (1962) New kinds of systematic designs for spacing experiments. hSDM

    hSDM

R package for hierarchical species distribution models

hSDM is an R package for hierarchical species distribution models. Such models allows interpreting the observations (occurrence and abundance of a species) as a result of several hierarchical processes including ecological processes (habitat suitability, spatial dependence and anthropogenic disturbance) and observation processes (species detectability).

R package for modelling anthropogenic deforestation

phcfM is an R package for modelling anthropogenic deforestation. It was named after the REDD+ pilot-project 'programme holistique de conservation des forêts à Madagascar'. phcfM includes two main functions: (i) demography(), to model the population growth with time in a hierarchical Bayesian framework using population census data and Gaussian linear mixed models and (ii) deforestation(), to model the deforestation process in a hierarchical Bayesian framework using land-cover change data and Binomial logistic regression models with variable time-intervals between land-cover observations. ...

    SimAssem

    SimAssem

For processing and/or simulating species assemblage data.

SimAssem is a tool for investigating the performances of species richness estimators across widely ranging assemblages and survey designs. Assemblages are simulated by specifying the: 1) number of species, 2) total abundance of individuals, 3) abundance distribution, 4) spatial configuration, 5) species detection probabilities, 6) survey design, and 7) number of grid cells to survey (out of a square grid comprised of 10,000 cells). SimAssem also processes existing encounter data and formats...

    AGNES Cluster identification

R script to run several clustering algorithms using morphometric data

The R script was written to perform and compare several versions of cluster algorithms as described in: Seifert, Ritz & Csősz (2013) published in Myrmecological News. The aim is to identify (cryptic) taxa based on numeric data on morphology. The first step is a Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) based on subunits (ant nests) independent of any taxon information.

    Sowseed

Seed sowing database to keep track of heirloom organic seeds

Sowseed is a browser based application using Apache, PHP and Mysql. Seeds are sown into trays which are numbered and barcoded. Against each seed tray the species are recorded along with the google map link of this location. There is a need for seed growers to preserve many varieties of heirloom seeds in order to maintain biodiversity. Several small groups hooked into the same database can benefit from a collaborative effect ensuring the greatest range of rare seeds are sown. Entries can be linked together so if seedling thinning has been carried out the original planting of that seed can be accessed. ...
