Reverse engineered communication protocol for the Mala ProEx and Easy Locator GPR implemented as a CLI & GUI running on unix systems. The communication protocol was ported to a graphical user interface applicable to embedded systems through the use of the Qt toolkit (tested on Armadeus Systems APF27 board). The GUI includes GPS datalogging capability assuming a receiver providing NMEA sentences at 4800 bauds is connected to the host computer.

CPSeis is the open-source version of ConocoPhillips' former seismic processing system. Uses Fortran 90 and C/C++ layers for I/O. The new system was designed using an MPI-parallel model and works well on Linux clusters or on individual workstations.

The LuSeismo project provides modules for the Earthworm project to capture analog seismometer data w/linux. The project also provides GUI interfaces used in the Loyola Physics Department for several labs, utilizing these seismometers as educational tools

There is also a Python API that provides a procedural as well as an object-oriented interface to these functions. A Python GUI for interacting with such datasets is also part of the project. While there are other open-source GIS, and image-processing packages available, this one is designed to be comprehensive, work on 3 major platforms, user-extensible, fast, and able to handle huge datasets.
