    GrainSizeTools script

    GrainSizeTools script

A Python script for estimating the grain size from thin sections

Homepage & docs: http://marcoalopez.github.io/GrainSizeTools/ GrainSizeTools is a free, open-source, cross-platform script written in Python that provides several tools for (1) estimating average grain size in polycrystalline materials, (2) characterizing the nature of the distribution of grain sizes (either from apparent distributions or approximating 3D grain size distributions via stereology), and estimating differential stress via paleopizometers. The script requires as the input the areas of the grain profiles measured grain-by-grain on planar sections and does not require previous experience with Python programming language (see documentation below and FAQ). For users with coding skills, the script is organized in a modular way facilitating the reuse and code extension. Lopez-Sanchez, MA (2018). GrainSizeTools: a Python script for grain size analysis and paleopiezometry based on grain size. ...

    Qgama

    Qgama

Adjustment of local surveying networks, binary builds for Windows

...It is intended for use with traditional geodetic surveying which are still used and needed in special measurements (e.g., underground or high precision engineering measurements) . Qgama is a Qt based user interface for GNU Gama adjustment of geodetic networks in which XML input is complemented with a database. The most simple case is Sqlite3 file database, which does not need any special knowledge from the user. http://www.gnu.org/software/gama/qgama Command line program gama-local is distributed with Qgama in folder bin.

    Bayesloc

    Bayesloc

    Bayesian Hierarchical Seismic Event Locator

Given a set of seismic arrivals for one or more events, Bayesloc estimates the joint probability of event locations, corrections to travel time predictions, precision of arrival time measurements, and phase labels for the arrival times. Bayesloc also accepts probabilistic prior constraints on any of the input parameters, which can significantly tighten the distribution of all parameters.
