VENUS-C provides new cloud solutions for small research groups.
VENUS-C is a project funded under the European Commission’s 7th Framework Programme drawing its strength from a joint co-operation between computing service providers and scientific user communities to develop, test and deploy a large, Cloud computing infrastructure for science and SMEs in Europe.
The Network-Integrated Multimedia Middleware (NMM) is a flow graph based multimedia framework that allows to create distributed multimedia applications: local and remote multimedia devices or software components can be combined.
This project will provide tools that leverage WS-CDL and Pi Calculus to build more robust Service Oriented Architectures (SOA). The tools are now released (and supported) through JBoss Tools (version > 3.2): http://www.jboss.org/tools

OSGi based Mobility Services for the JADE mobile agent framework
JADE OSGi (based) MObility SErviceS (OsMoSes) is an OSGi based set of services that offers an alternative to the "built-in" mobility service of JADE.
This project aims to bring to the JADE framework all the benefits of the OSGi technology, allowing to modularize the "agents" into "bundles" and migrate them in a transparent way.
Currently this project is in a "proof of concept" stage and is looking for the community's interest to keep evolving into a full fledged product.

NodeCom is an open-source component framework for extremely constrained WSN. This project sourceforge is under construction. The code will be added soon. See our laboratory web page: http://domus.usherbrooke.ca/
WSNFuse provides an abstraction layer for wireless sensor networks, allowing to expose one or many WSNs by means of different access technologies(e.g.: filesystem, JMS, RMI, Smart-Spaces, etc.).Its plugin-based architecture allow users to develop and adopt thei own plugins and configure WSN fuse to better suit their needs.
This project has been partially supported by the CHIRON EU research
project co-financed by the artemis joint undertaking (http://www.chiron-project.eu/) .
HOOPLE is a portable collection of C++ sourcecode, featuring thread-safe objects for collections and event processing, RPC-style plugin-based encrypted networking (CROMP / octopus), bookmark collection management utilities, and a lot of other cool stuff.
This is the project page for HOOPLE version 1, which was retired on September 25 2010. The code supposedly still builds on both Linux (with gnu gcc) and on Windows (with ms visual studio).

A dynamic task scheduler to execute job chains in a fault-tolerant way
This project provide an easy to deploy service oriented task-scheduling architecture capable to achieve a fault-tolerant job execution on dynamics networks.
The system use:
- A robust Job scheduler: Quartz Enterprise scheduler (for more info see http://www.quartz-scheduler.org)
- A framework to build reliable dynamic distributed systems: Apache River framework (for more info see http://river.apache.org)
Extension of the CloudSIM project ( www.cloudbus.org/cloudsim/ ) to support interactive jobs and random jobs. Also a GUI was developed to make easier the interaction with the tool.
jSCSI is a cross-platform Java implementation of an iSCSI initiator. jSCSI thus enables Java to directly access and serve block devices over the Internet by natively speaking the iSCSI protocol. The initiator supports software RAID.

A universal platform for resource discovery and description that shares XML meta-data over existing peer-to-peer (P2P) networks such as Gnutella and JXTA.
This project is to build a distributed Key-Value Store (KVS).
* Can survive software or hardware failures.
* Can tolerate failures of entire nodes.
* Can recognize that new storage nodes are joining the system and are able to utilize new nodes.
