Are you tired of being unable to find what is using up precious hard disk space? Find that huge folder that you didn't know it was there. Select drive and press start to go through directories manually. Click the refresh button to calculate folder size, double-click to the folder name, or press "+" button to see sub folders. Deleting a folder is possible by clicking the bin button next to the folder. Increase the maximum number of folders when required. (Using more than 10 is recommended for large folders such as Program Files).

On the surface, Double File may look like WinDirStat (from which it borrows code) or similar graphical drive utilization utilities: e.g. the second assembly 'Volume Treemap'. However, Double File is project-based: it saves file checksums in directory listings you store locally. It facilitates planning and transitioning between computers and operating systems: snapshot your drive and safely archive it. Listings can be searched when volumes are off site.

The application checks each drive for free space and compares them with the threshold values designated by the user. If they are below threshold, it sends out mail to the designated addresses. Application includes two projects; a configuration form and a windows service. Service triggers every hour and sends mail if the conditions are met.
