Open Source C# Disk Formatting Software

Eraser is a secure data removal tool for Windows. It completely removes sensitive data from your hard drive by overwriting it several times with carefully selected patterns.

A simple Windows tool that can format USB or physical volumes to either NTFS or FAT32. It supports custom Volume names and quick formatting. Done out of boredom and curiosity for practicing purposes. The program will refuse to format the Windows partition. Because the Windows partition is not always C, the check is not hard-coded. Rather, I perform a comparison between the currently selected volume to format and the known System volume. If they match, I trip a flag.

FOG is a free open-source cloning/imaging solution/rescue suite. FOG can be used to image Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 and Window 8 PCs using PXE, PartClone, and a Web GUI to tie it together. Includes featues like memory and disk test, disk wipe, av scan & task scheduling.

Please ignore that messages until this tool gets widely spread. This program is highly inspired by Win32 Disk Imager and sort of copies it's function. However, I've added some features, like verification of readed/writed image file and the most important is on the fly support for zipped images. Another features worth mentioning are simultaneous write to multiple devices at one time or wiping of device filesystem and partitions.
