The GVAR Toolbox was originally launched in December 2010 with the release of version 1.0, sponsored by the European Central Bank. Version 1.1 was released in July 2011 and is available to download, free of charge, from this website. Derived from Dr. L.Vanessa Smith's project Exploring International Economic Linkages Using a Global Model, the GVAR Toolbox 1.1 is the second release of a collection of MatLab procedures with an Excel-based interface, designed for the purpose of GVAR modelling. The GVAR modelling approach provides a general yet practical global modelling framework for the quantitative analysis of the relative importance of different shocks and channels of transmission mechanisms. This makes it a suitable tool for policy analysis, although it has been used in a number of other contexts, including analysing credit risk and evaluating the UK entry into the Euro. The GVAR Toolbox 1.1 is primarily tailored to policy analysis and forecasting.

We present the Community Detection Toolbox (CDTB), a MATLAB toolbox which can be used to perform community detection. The CDTB contains several functions from the following categories. 1. graph generators; 2. clustering algorithms; 2. cluster number selection functions; 4. clustering evaluation functions. Furthermore, CDTB is designed in a parametric manner so that the user can add his own functions and extensions. The CDTB can be used in at least three ways. The user can employ the functions from the MATLAB command line; or he can write his own code, incorporating the CDTB functions; or he can use the Graphical User Interface (GUI) which automates the community detection and includes some data visualization options.

NAIL is a toolset for network analysis in the life sciences
The NAIL (Network Analysis and Inference Library) project is a set of tools for solving problems in the life sciences using network (graph) approaches. NAIL includes methods for creating networks, analysing and comparing networks, and for visualising or presenting the results. These methods are designed as self-contained platform-independent components which can be called either from another program, or from a command line. Modelling biological systems as networks (graphs) is becoming a common approach in the life sciences. However, different algorithms typically use different input and output data types, are implemented using different technologies, and are demonstrated by application to different biological problems. Because of this, the primary goal of the NAIL project is to provide a straightforward way to use network approaches in the life sciences, and to apply a variety of techniques quickly and easily on the same data.
