A cross-platform, open-source, alternative to NIST REFPROP. Based on reference-accuracy equations of state and transport property correlations for refrigerants like Water, CO2, R134a, Nitrogen, Argon, Ammonia, Air, R404a, R410a, Propane and many others. A selection of secondary working fluid properties are also available. Can also make use of REFPROP when available. In addition, calculations for Humid Air Properties based on ASHRAE RP-1485 are provided. Wrappers are available for MATLAB, Octave, Python, C#, Fortran and many more.

Virtual Sound Level Meter for analyzing calibrated sound files
This project is the MATLAB development of a virtual sound level meter. The program will read in a calibrated .wav file and allow the user to analyze it as one would analyze a sound field with a sound level meter. The software implements Fast, Slow, Impulse and LEQ; A, C and Flat Weighting; Ln and Noise Dose analysis; Octave and 1/3 Octave band analysis; high resolution FFT analysis and spectrograms. Band analysis can be made using fast FFT methods or slower, but ANSI standard methods. Source code requires MATLAB + Signal Processing Toolbox. Developed under MATLAB R2010a (but might work with some earlier versions) Executable version does not require MATLAB and runs under Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7.

Pinguino is an electronics prototyping platform. It supports different 8- and 32-bit ©Microchip microcontrollers, all with built-in USB module. Pinguino comes with a USB Bootloader, a small program running inside the microcontroller which is responsible for transferring your application from your PC to the microcontroller memory and handing over the control to this program afterwards. No programmer is then needed, only a USB cable and a PC. Pinguino is also an Integrated Development Environement (IDE) which gives everyone the ability to write, compile and upload programs on a Pinguino board.
A civil engineer tool for uneven / custom weir calculations
The tool is created to calculate the stage-discharge relationship, i.e. the rating curve, of an uneven/custom weir. The tool was developed using Visual Studio 2008, and the crystal report was used to generate a report. To view and print the analysis report, the crystal report runtime is required. The crystal report installer, CRRedist2008_x64.msi (for 64-bit operation system) and CRRedist2008_x86.msi (for 32-bit operation system), are both available for download.

IEC61850 IED Explorer in .net
IEDExplorer is an IEC 61850 client tool written for testing and educational purposes. IEDExplorer can connect to an IEC61850 device (also called an IED) over MMS (ISO/IEC9506-1 and ISO/IEC 9506-2) communication protocol. The tool is written in pure C# including the MMS ASN.1 parser (based on BinaryNotes ASN.1 tool) and runs in .net environment, on Windows. Linux/Mono support has been lost on the way (volunteers welcome). Actually it is relatively incomplete but still it can: - inspect MMS variables in the tree structure - read values - create or delete variable lists - activate and read un/buffered reports - read directories and files (e.g. for COMTRADE protection event records) - capture MMS packets It also supports writing to variables and sending commands, both in a limited scope yet. There is a lot to do to improve the tool, including: - functionality - testing - stability - new functions design etc. I will appreciate any help.

Software for electromagnetic simulation
MaxFem is an open software package for electromagnetic simulation by using finite element methods. The package can solve problems in electrostatics, direct current, magnetostatics and eddy-currents. We have moved the installers to the MaxFEM website (see below). In order to improve MaxFEM, we will require you to fill out a simple form before downloading them.
This is a simple BACnet Browser that currently only sends a Who-Is message and builds a tree of Devices when it receives an I-Am message. It then allows a list of diagnostic routines to be run.
