Writer Recognition System V2 : Simple and Effective Source Code For Write Recognition Based Edge-Hinge Distribution Research in automatic writer identification has mainly focused on the statistical approach. This has led to the specification and extraction of statistical features such as run-length distributions, slant distribution, entropy, and edge-hinge distribution. We consider a complete 2D probability distribution that takes into account all possible combinations of angles pairs, outperforming original code. Code has been tested using IAM Handwriting Database See More : http://matlab-recognition-code.com/writer-biometric-recognition-system-matlab-code/ Other Biometric Systems : http://matlab-recognition-code.com

Simple .m files, Basic Neural Networks study for Octave (or Matlab)
--> For a more detailed description check the README text under the 'Files' menu option :) The project consists of a few very simple .m files for a Basic Neural Networks study under Octave (or Matlab). The idea is to provide a context for beginners that will allow to develop neural networks, while at the same time get to see and feel the behavior of a basic neural networks' functioning. The code is completely open to be modified and may suit several scenarios. The code commenting is verbose, and variables and functions do respect English formatting, so that code may be self explanatory. Messages to the screen are localized, both in English and Spanish, and it is really easy to add another language to the localization. If any further explanation is needed, the forum/discussion page may be of help :) Comments and suggestions are very welcome.

Library for working with 3D rotations in Matlab/Octave
The Matlab/Octave rotations library is a collection of functions, bundled as m-scripts, that address computations and numerical handling of rotations in 3D Euclidean space. The rotation representations that are supported are rotation matrices (Rotmat), Quaternions (Quat), intrinsic ZYX Euler angles (Euler), fused angles (Fused) and tilt angles (Tilt). Operations such as composition, inversion, ZYX yaw extraction, fused yaw extraction, random generation, equality detection, vector rotation and much more have been implemented for each rotation representation. Unit tests for each function are provided to ensure that the library is performant.

Verification via biSimulations of Max-Plus-Linear models
This toolbox is used to generate finite abstractions of autonomous Max-Plus-Linear (MPL) systems over R^n. Abstractions are characterized as finite-state Labeled Transition Systems (LTS). The LTS finite abstractions are shown to either simulate or to bisimulate the original MPL system. LTS models are to be verified against given specifications expressed as formulae in Linear Temporal Logic (LTL) and Computation Tree Logic (CTL). The toolbox intends to leverage the NuSMV model checker. Models are to be expressed in the C++ language. The abstraction procedure runs in C++. The generated LTS is exported to the NuSMV language. As such, it can be fed, along with a specification of interest, to the NuSMV model checker. If you are more familiar with JAVA language, we suggest you to try VeriSiMPL version 2.0 which is fully based on JAVA. If you are more familiar with MATLAB language, we suggest you to try VeriSiMPL version 1.4 which is fully based on MATLAB.
Open Source White Matter Hyperintensities Segmentation Toolbox
Wisconsin White Matter Hyperintensity Segmentation [W2MHS] and Quantification Toolbox is an open source MatLab toolbox designed for detecting and quantifying White Matter Hyperintensities (WMH) in Alzheimer’s and aging related neurological disorders. WMHs arise as bright regions on T2- weighted FLAIR images. They reflect comorbid neural injury or cerebral vascular disease burden. Their precise detection is of interest in Alzheimer’s disease (AD) with regard to its prognosis. Our toolbox provides a self-sufficient set of tools for segmenting these WMHs reliably and further quantifying their burden for down-processing studies.

A set of tools for processing Argus images of the nearshore zone.
BLIM Toolbox is a collection of tools for the extraction and analysis of visual features in Argus images of the nearshore zone. The toolbox provides an implementation of the BarLine Intensity Mapper (BLIM) algorithm, which extracts high-intensity bands from Argus images. Also, several analysis and export functions are included in this toolbox, such as timestack plots and movies. The main incentive for the development of this toolbox was reducing the amount of time and effort a user spends on image analysis. This is achieved by a user-friendly graphical interface, functionality for browsing through images and results, flexible import and export functions, and the possibility to add user interface components and additional implementations of algorithms. Because BLIM Toolbox is meant to work with other Argus software, it is programmed in Matlab. For the BLIM Toolbox to run, Matlab needs to be installed. However, knowledge of Matlab programming is not required for using the toolbox.
BIOTACT Whisker Tracking Tool
The BWTT is an artefact of the EU Framework 7 Project BIOTACT 215910. It is an extensible software framework that runs under Matlab (Mathworks, TM) providing for the computation of whisker tracking algorithms for small mammal observation. Other tracking algorithms (e.g. snout tracking) can also be included. The software is released with a number of algorithms included, allowing rapid whisker tracking with no other software required (other than Matlab).
