  • POSIX Threads for Windows

An implementation of the POSIX threads API for Windows

Also known as "pthreads-win32", POSIX Threads for Windows implements a large subset of the threads related API from the Single Unix Specification Version 3. Conformance and quality are high priorities of this mature library. Development began in 1998 and has continued with numerous significant professional contributions. Please note:- whilst PThreads4W can be built and run by it, MinGW64 includes it's own default POSIX Threads library called "winpthreads". The two are not compatible and in order to build and run PThreads4W (formerly PThreads-WIn32) MinGW64 must be installed without win32pthreads. If you want or need to build and run with PThreads4W then you need to choose win32 threading instead of POSIX when you install MinGW64 to not install the conflicting winpthreads include and library files.

One of the ideas is that you can use your php web applications code base and logic to create native desktop applications that communicate to them transparently. This way you can give your users a seamless and native experience from the desktop while staying in sync with your web apps. There are many more use cases, but we invite you to download and try this project by your self. We hope everyone can enjoy it as much as we have enjoyed developing it.

  • Extended C Library

    Extended C Library

Why Is libxc needed? There doesn't exist a library for ANSI C99 for common data containers, such as vectors, trees, etc. There also also doesn't exist a library for common functionality, such as error reporting/logging, string functions, configuration management (reading config files), etc... The programmer working in C doesn't have anything analogous to the Boost C++ library. The extended C library is intended to make some headway into providing this functionality. To ensure unrestricted usage the libxc project is provided under the very permissive BSD license. If you need a different license then please send me a request (lelanthran at gmail) and I'll do my best to satisfy your request. What's completed? As of writing, the following libraries have been written and tested: 1. Memory accounting/tracking 2. String operations 3. Vectors 4. Trees 5. Dictionary arrays 6. Configuration management See the wiki page for more information
