Python package to retrieve and manage data of the IMDb
IMDbPY is a Python package useful to retrieve and manage the data of the IMDb movie database about movies, people, characters and companies. Platform-independent, it can retrieve data from both the IMDb's web server and a local copy of the whole db.
KCachegrind visualizes traces generated by profiling, including a tree map and a call graph visualization of the calls happening. It's designed to be fast for very large programs like KDE applications.
A real Win32 extensible passive debugger
This project born a few years ago when I encountered a fatal bug on a production environment, unfortunately not replicable on my development machine. I spent many time finding a solution, using also freeware and commercial third-party tools and libraries, but none helped me because the bug crashed the process, and no of the above tools could be able to catch the exception before the process dying. Also, it was not possible to install a development environment onto the production machines, so the only solution was to develop a debugger which didn't need any user/developer interaction. I used many open source resources, then I decided to make the Bug Finder an open source project. It is built over a pluggable architecture to support other languages different from Borland Delphi (the one I used to develop my faulting application and the Bug Finder too). Here is the article http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/602794/Bug-Finder-a-real-Win32-extensible-passive-debugge .
FunctionCheck is a profiler for C/C++ programs, based on gcc V4.6.3+. Features are flat profile, cycles detection, call-graph, MIN/MAX time in functions, memory profiling, profiling control at execution...
This is analog for NCover application, but have some advantages The project is not in work actually, so you may try the following projects instead: https://github.com/sawilde/partcover.net4 - original fork https://github.com/sawilde/opencover - another cover from blessed man who was able to keep PartCover live. Regarding license: all sources (here at SF) are open. You are free to copy/modify/distribute without any confirm from my side. I cannot garantee the same for files in other locations. Best regards!
Tool for monitoring of OCI client applications [f.e.: TOAD/TOra, or any OCI-based fat client] interaction with Oracle Database. Monitors SQL statements and values passed/fetched between client application and RDBMS. Consists of simple and nice GUI [C#] and events handler [C++] with quite a lot of OCI hacking. Interface between handlers and tool's GUI is through tailing of XML "pipeline" files in $HOME/.ocimonitor directory. Tool is quite similar to Quest SQLMonitor, which is unable to trace values.
Shiny is a lightning fast, fully documented & by-far-easiest-to-use C/C++/Lua profiler with no extensive surgery. Results are smoothed & shown in run-time as a call-tree or sorted-by-time. Output also renderable as graphs in Ogre3D or your custom engine
Improves performance of games: Oblivion, Fallout 3 & New Vegas
This patches game executables in memory to improve performance / "stutter". Supported games: Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Fallout New Vegas.
C/C++ library for function instrumentation and AOP
Library libinstrument is the best way to do function instrumentation in C/C++. You can use instrumentation to implement a vast number of features, ranging from stack tracing, exception tracing, profiling, to interceptor injection and Aspect Oriented Programming (AOP), to name a few. Actually libinstrument comes ready with such modules as exception stack tracing. Project libinstrument is the evolution, the re-branding of libcsdbg. Due to the vast performance optimizations and the generalization of its API, instead of being targeted solely for debugging, It can now be used in Agile Development, follow modern paradigms and implement SOLID patterns in C/C++. It carries over verbatim all the features of libcsdbg, but also adds a CMake generated build system, highly configurable, with out-of-source build capability and portable across all platforms and many IDEs (Eclipse, CLion, CodeBlocks and other)..
C / C++ everything-memory debugger
Warning: Older projects may have to be compiled with -DDEBUG_NEW_CONFIG_HAVE_DEPRECATED Debug_New offers the possibility of debugging memoryleaks, not only (note the "not only"; that's just one of its functions) in a <report-memory-leaks-on-shutdown> kind of way, but implemented using memory-states. - Cross platform + Cross compiler support (only utilizes the preprocessor and template-voodoo-magic for c++) - Supports C and C++ - Supports gcc and g++ - Supports pthread and any posix platform - Multithreading is supported. - Easy to use and install (just include the header and link the source). - Easily debug memory-leaks. - Easily debug dangling pointers. - Easily debug deallocation method correctness. - Easily debug array index errors (when writing past the end). - Easily profile memory usage and track down memory hawks. - Click-And-Goto-Source support for Visual Studio. - Integrated compatibility for new, new, delete, delete, malloc, calloc, realloc, free
massiftool is a simple, lightweight tool to examine and visualize (create graphs from) the output of valgrind's massif, written in C++/Qt
C++ Benchmarking Library
This project is now maintained at GitHub: https://github.com/DigitalInBlue/Celero Celero is a cross-platform open source C++ benchmarking library. Written with an API similar to Google Test, Celero utilizes C++11 features, offers tested benchmarking capabilities with microsecond precision, baselining, fixtures, and easy test setup. Use the baseline feature to measure/benchmark algorithm performance against a known case to more accurately rate performance of solutions.
DbgProfiler provides an easy mechanism for profiling certain hotspots of an application by just adding a few macros to the C++ source code. A hierarchy of the callers and callees is generated automatically and allows a detailed analysis of the results.
A collection of performance analysis software that can assist with a variety of techniques useful for application software optimization and benchmarking. The current release provides support for analysis with hardware performance counters on Linux.
Aesalon is a program behaviour visualization tool. Instead of static analysis on source code or performance profiling, other aspects such as thread interaction, mutex/semaphore status, dynamically-allocated memory, and file/socket I/O are visualized.
Analyse structure of C++ projects, compiled with a patched version of g++ (patch included). Edges in the output graph represent function calls. Vertices can be functions, classes, namespaces, files or whole projects (ie, libraries).
The goal of this project is to develop the OS-independent, obtrusive, customizable, extensible, generic logging and tracing software mechanism.
FreeProfiler is a C++ performance profiler. Compared to other profilers, It has smaller granularity. It focuses on code blocks and messages. So user knows exactly how much time is consumed by a specific message or a part of a function.
Glimpses is a profiling tool for understanding program memory behavior and evaluating program regions for execution on the SPEs in a CELL processor. The results of the profiling can be viewed in an interactive Visualizer
