TFEL/MFront
TFEL/MFront introduces DSLs based on C++ to handle material knowledge
The TFEL library is a collaborative effort of the French Atomic Commission and Électricité de France. TFEL mostly includes the MFront code generator. MFront is based on C++ and provides several domain specific languages which were designed to simplify the implementations of new material properties, mechanical behaviours and simple material models. A particular focus was made on mechanical behaviours which are by essence more complex and may have significant impact on the numerical performances of mechanical simulations. Various performance benchmarks show that the code generated using MFront is in most cases on par or better than other implementations, generally written in Fortran. For mechanical behaviours, MFront introduces interfaces for various finite element or FTT solvers (Cast3M, Code-Aster, ZeBuLoN, Abaqus, Europlexus, AMITEX_FFT, etc..). The authors hope that it will prove usefull for researchers and engineers, in particular in the field of solid mechanics.

Why Is libxc needed? There doesn't exist a library for ANSI C99 for common data containers, such as vectors, trees, etc. There also also doesn't exist a library for common functionality, such as error reporting/logging, string functions, configuration management (reading config files), etc... The programmer working in C doesn't have anything analogous to the Boost C++ library. The extended C library is intended to make some headway into providing this functionality. To ensure unrestricted usage the libxc project is provided under the very permissive BSD license. If you need a different license then please send me a request (lelanthran at gmail) and I'll do my best to satisfy your request. What's completed? Dynamically loaded extension libraries for GNU AWK
The gawkextlib project provides several extension libraries for gawk (GNU AWK), as well as libgawkextlib containing some APIs that are useful for building gawk extension libraries. These libraries enable gawk to process XML data, interact with a PostgreSQL database, use the GD graphics library, and perform unlimited precision MPFR calculations. These extensions work with GNU AWK version 4.1.1 or later. We have created a framework for packaging gawk extensions, and we welcome further contributions. Recent additions include haru, redis, and select for I/O multiplexing.
