Portable software for USB, portable, and cloud drives
PortableApps.com is the world's most popular portable software solution allowing you to take your favorite Windows software with you. It works on any cloud drive folder (Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, etc), on any portable storage device (USB flash drive, memory card, portable hard drive, etc), or from your local hard drive. With millions of users all over the world and a full collection of open source software (as well as freeware and commercial software), PortableApps is the most complete solution for life on the go. PortableApps.com was founded by John T. Haller, whose Portable Firefox started the portable software trend. We've been making software portable since March 2004. Today, our team stands at nearly 100 developers, translators, application packagers, designers, and release testers. Our goal is to centralize the knowledge and development of portable software efforts and build a single, open platform that any software or hardware developer can use.
A software construction tool
SCons is a software construction tool that is a superior alternative to the classic "Make" build tool that we all know and love. SCons is implemented as a Python script and set of modules, and SCons "configuration files" are actually executed as Python scripts. This gives SCons many powerful capabilities not found in other software build tools. We make SCons available in three distinct packages, for different purposes. - The scons package is the basic package to install SCons. You don't need any other package if you just want to try out SCons. - The scons-local package executes as a SCons standalone, out of a local directory. It's intended to be dropped in to and shipped with packages of other software for builds with SCons but not as a required install. - The scons-src package is the complete source tree, including everything we use to package SCons and all of the regression tests.

A fast, powerful and adaptable GUI solution
Crazy Eddie's GUI (CEGUI) system is a graphical user interface C++ library. It was designed particularly for the needs of videogames, but the library is usable for non-game tasks, such as any other type of applications (rendering/visualisation/virtual reality) and tools. It is designed for user flexibility in look-and-feel, as well as being adaptable to the user's choice in tools and operating systems. Established in 2003, CEGUI sees continual, active development and remains one of the most powerful and most popular options for developers requiring an adaptable and efficient GUI solution. CEGUI is fully supported by the developers that created - and continue to develop - the library, and who are accessible via the project's dedicated internet forums and IRC channel. For more information, more screenshots and for news, check out out our homepage: http://cegui.org.uk The repository is now at bitbucket (including our issue/bug tracker): https://bitbucket.org/cegui

Create installable packages for Debian based systems.
Debreate is a utility to aid in creating installable Debian packages (.deb). The goal behind the project is to make developing for Debian based Linux distributions more appealing, with an easy to use interface for packaging applications, artwork, media, themes, etc. Currently, it only supports "binary" packaging which allows packaging of anything that does not require being compiled from source, such as scripted applications or media. These packages can then be used for personal distribution. Plans for using backends such as dh_make & debuild for creating source packages are in the works. But source packaging can be quite different & is a must if you want to get your packages into a distribution's official repositories or a Launchpad Personal Package Archive (PPA).
