BCPL was designed by Martin Richards at Cambridge University (1966)
Here you will find a collection of BCPL tools I've gathered from the net, cleaned up and ported to the Atari ST. This involved fixing bugs, reducing stack usage and making the code compile in 16bit via Pure C (Turbo C for the Atari ST). Source credits include: Martin Richards - BCPL Kit http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~mr10/ Robert Nordier (Translated interp to C) http://www.nordier.com/ Serge Vakulenko (Translated cg/syn/trn to C) https://github.com/sergev/b I'm sure there are other names, but those are the ones on the source files. The code now compiles clean for the Atari ST, so it should work for anything else.
Dynamically loaded extension libraries for GNU AWK
The gawkextlib project provides several extension libraries for gawk (GNU AWK), as well as libgawkextlib containing some APIs that are useful for building gawk extension libraries. These libraries enable gawk to process XML data, interact with a PostgreSQL database, use the GD graphics library, and perform unlimited precision MPFR calculations. These extensions work with GNU AWK version 4.1.1 or later. We have created a framework for packaging gawk extensions, and we welcome further contributions. Recent additions include haru, redis, and select for I/O multiplexing.
Relational Database Management System
A relational database management system, based on the principles laid down in the book "Databases, Types, and The Relational Model: The Third Manifesto" by C. J. Date and Hugh Darwen.
GDL - GNU Data Language, a free IDL (Interactive Data Language, see http://ittvis.com/idl/) compatible incremental compiler.
The MCAPL Project provides a tool for prototyping BDI agent programming languages and model checking programs written in these languages via an interface to the JavaPathfinder model checker.
Pyexpander is a powerful macro processor based on python. Instead of simple macro replacement it offers evaluation of arbitrary python expressions and execution of python code. Pyexpander is Turing Complete.
General Purpose Engine for Graphic Adventures.
Escape Towards The Unknown is a graphic adventure (like Monkey's Island) written in C with SDL support. Main feature are: brand new user command language interface; support for digitalized dialogues in many languages.
Children's learning programming language Karel the Robot in 3D
Learning programming language for kids
Home of the Open Object Rexx Project. ooRexx is the open source version of IBM's Object REXX Interpreter. It is upwardly compatible with classic REXX and will execute classic REXX programs unchanged. The project is managed by the Rexx Language Assoc.
Programming language designed to simplify the development of small and large-scale networked applications. PROSE includes an execution engine and language that compiles into platform-independent bytecode. Bytecode can also be assembled directly.
A tool for learning programming basis with a simple spanish pseudocode
PSeInt is a pseudo-code interpreter for spanish-speaking programming students. Its main purpose is to be a tool for learning and understanding the basic concepts about programming and applying them with an easy understanding spanish pseudocode.
A native Windows port of the GNU Compiler Collection (GCC)
MinGW: A native Windows port of the GNU Compiler Collection (GCC), with freely distributable import libraries and header files for building native Windows applications; includes extensions to the MSVC runtime to support C99 functionality. All of MinGW's software will execute on the 64bit Windows platforms.
The GNU Prolog native compiler
GNU Prolog is a free implementation (under GPL) of the logic programming language PROLOG. It can compile to native machine code which is extremely fast in execution. Another feature is the included constraint solver.
CLISP is a portable ANSI Common Lisp implementation and development environment by Bruno Haible. Interpreter, compiler, debugger, CLOS, MOP, FFI, Unicode, sockets, CLX. UI in English, German, French, Spanish, Dutch, Russian, and Danish.
FTH Forth Scripting
FTH provides running stand alone Forth scripts like Ruby etc. and using Forth as an extension language to your application.
Pure is a modern-style functional programming language based on term rewriting, slated to become the much improved successor of the author's Q language. NOTE: This project has moved to Github, see https://agraef.github.io/pure-lang/.
object orientated scripting language
ObjectiveScript is an object orientated scripting language that tries to combine the speed of scripting with an object orientated syntax similar to Java and C++. The language offers native data types like bool, double, float, int and string as well as user defined object types and a system library with data types similar to the Java boxed types like Integer and String. Collections like List, Map, etc. can be used with object and value types and can also be used as raw types (i.e. List == List<Object>).
A modern descendant of the Icon programming language.
Unicon is a very high level object-oriented network- and graphics-savvy programming language with a syntax similar to Pascal or C. Goal-direction, backtracking, patterns and novel data structures make Unicon ideal for rapidly solving complex problems.
Suneido is an integrated application platform for developing and deploying desktop applications that includes an object-oriented language, client-server relational database, and application framework and components.
Serpent is a real-time scripting language inspired by Python but completely reimplemented to support real-time garbage collection and multiple instances of the virtual machines running on independent threads.
C++ implementation of ECMA-BASIC specification.
Ecma-basic is a C++ implementation of ECMA-BASIC specification. It is powered by EasyVM serving as a back end.
PEBL (Psychology Experiment Building Language) is a system designed for creating psychology and neuroscience experiments and tests. It is cross-platform, with the intention to run the same experiment, unchanged, on Linux, Windows, and Macintosh PCs.
