A self-service password management tool for Active Directory
PassCore is a very simple 1-page web application written in C#, using ASP.NET Core, Material UI (React Components), and Microsoft Directory Services (Default provider). It allows users to change their Active Directory/LDAP password on their own, provided the user is not disabled. PassCore does not require any configuration, as it obtains the principal context from the current domain. I wrote this because a number of people have requested several features that the original version did not have. The original version of this tool was downloaded around 8000 times in 2.5 years. My hope is that the new version continues to be just as popular. There really is no free alternative out there (that I know of) so hopefully, this saves someone else some time and money. We recommend use the docker image and redirect the traffic to nginx. -

BladeOne is a standalone version of Blade Template Engine that uses a single PHP file and can be ported and used in different projects. It allows you to use blade template outside Laravel. Dynamic blade components are not supported (reason: performance purpose) and custom features aimed for blade, but everything else is supported. This version does not support PHP 5.x anymore. However, you can use the old version that is 100% functional with PHP 5.6 and higher. By standard, The original Blade library is part of Laravel (Illuminate components) and to use this template library, you require install Laravel and Illuminate-view components. The syntax of Blade is pretty nice and bright. It's based in C# Razor (another template library for C#). It's starting to be considered a de-facto standard template system for many PHP (Smarty has been riding off the sunset since years ago) so, if we can use it without Laravel then it's a big plus for many projects. -

A Bloom filter is a concise/compressed representation of a set, where the main requirement is to make membership queries; i.e., whether an item is a member of a set. A Bloom filter will always correctly report the presence of an element in the set when the element is indeed present. A Bloom filter can use much less storage than the original set, but it allows for some 'false positives': it may sometimes report that an element is in the set whereas it is not. When you construct, you need to know how many elements you have (the desired capacity), and what is the desired false positive rate you are willing to tolerate. A common false-positive rate is 1%. The lower the false-positive rate, the more memory you are going to require. Similarly, the higher the capacity, the more memory you will use. You may construct the Bloom filter capable of receiving 1 million elements with a false-positive rate of 1%. -

This way web applications can be executed without web servers to run faster and access application internals. Symfony, Laravel, Zend Framework, Yii, Phalcon are supported. Connect to various data sources MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Memcache to use their data inside tests. Take snapshots to compare data changes with previous runs. Codeception is built on top of PHPUnit and is able to execute its tests. -

Prometheus exporter for various metrics about Elasticsearch, written in Go. The exporter fetches information from an Elasticsearch cluster on every scrape, therefore having a too short scrape interval can impose load on ES master nodes, particularly if you run with --es.all and --es.indices. We suggest you measure how long fetching /_nodes/stats and /_all/_stats takes for your ES cluster to determine whether your scraping interval is too short. As a last resort, you can scrape this exporter using a dedicated job with its own scraping interval. Commandline parameters start with a single - for versions less than 1.1.0rc1. Username and password can be passed either directly in the URI or through the ES_USERNAME and ES_PASSWORD environment variables. Specifying those two environment variables will override authentication passed in the URI (if any). -

Build cross-platform desktop apps with .NET 5 and ASP.NET NET Core (Razor Pages, MVC), Blazor. Electron.NET is a wrapper around a "normal" Electron application with an embedded ASP.NET Core application. Via our Electron.NET IPC bridge we can invoke Electron APIs from .NET. The CLI extensions host our toolset to build and start Electron.NET applications. There are lots of different approaches how to get an X-plat desktop app running. We thought it would be nice for .NET devs to use the ASP.NET Core environment and just embed it inside a pretty robust X-plat environment called Electron. Porting Electron to .NET is not a goal of this project, at least we don't have any clue how to do it. We just combine ASP.NET Core & Electron. The current Electron.NET CLI builds Windows/macOS/Linux binaries. Our API uses .NET 5, so our minimum base OS is the same as .NET 5. -

FlaUI
UI automation library for .Net
FlaUI is a .NET library which helps with automated UI testing of Windows applications (Win32, WinForms, WPF, Store Apps,...). It is based on native UI Automation libraries from Microsoft and therefore kind of a wrapper around them. FlaUI wraps almost everything from the UI Automation libraries but also provides the native objects in case someone has a special need that is not covered (yet) by FlaUI. Some ideas are copied from the UIAComWrapper project or TestStack.White but rewritten from scratch to have a clean codebase. To use FlaUI, you need to reference the appropriate assemblies. So you should decide, if you want to use UIA2 or UIA3 and install the appropriate library from NuGet. You can of course always download the source and compile it yourself. The entry point is usually an application or the desktop so you get an automation element (like a the main window of the application). On this, you can then search sub-elements and interact with them. -
