Distributed load testing framework - Java, Jython, or Clojure scripts.
The Grinder is a load testing framework that makes it easy to run a distributed test using many load injector machines. Test scripts are written in Jython, and can call out to arbitrary Java code, providing support for testing a large range of network protocols. The Grinder comes with a mature plug-in for testing HTTP services, HTTP scripts can be recorded easily from a browser session.
A protocol agnostic application layer denial of service attack.
PyLoris is a scriptable tool for testing a server's vulnerability to connection exhaustion denial of service (DoS) attacks. PyLoris can utilize SOCKS proxies and SSL connections, and can target protocols such as HTTP, FTP, SMTP, IMAP, and Telnet.
Project continued at github, see https://github.com/wolfc01/procexp/blob/master/README.md Graphical process explorer for Linux. Shows process information: process tree, TCP IP connections and graphical performance figures for processes. Aims to mimic Windows procexp from sysinternals, and aims to be more usable than top and ps, especially for advanced users. Audience for this tool: * Advanced system administrators trying to analyze on process level what is going on in a production server; * Software developers analyzing the troughput of their process: e.g. TCP throughput, memory usage, memory leaks; The most advanced feature is the monitoring of TCP/IP traffic figures, for each SINGLE process (actual connections and throughput). As far as known no other tool has this capability. In the process tree, use the right mouse button to monitor process details.
SerialToIP is a simple Terminal Server software providing transparent pipe either in TCP server or TCP client socket mode from TCP/IP to a pre-configured serial port. Implemented in C# for .NET 2.0 so the command line version could work in Mono-runtime as well.
CSV Comparator is a tool for comparing files which contain CSV-Data.
CSV Comparator is a tool for comparing files which contain CSV-Data. It was created for performance engineers to be able to have a easy way to compare data from two testruns and be able to automate the comparing process of various files with scripts. There is a command line tool as well as a user interface. In case you need to compare .xml-Files you can convert them to .csv-Files with my other project CSV Transformer. The advantages by using CSV as input and output are the following: - Many applications allow an export of its data to CSV or Excel(were it could be saved to CSV) - It is possible to pre- and postprocess the data, e.g removing version numbers before comparing - It is easy to create CSV data from logfiles and other resources by using unix tools like sed or awk - CSV can be loaded into other applications, especially Excel, were it can be formatted by macros for analyzing.
Supports Java/Swing, JavaFX applications for GUI Testing
Marathon runs GUI Testing against Java/Swing and Java/FX applications. Marathon provides an integrated environment for test script creation and execution. Currently, Marathon supports JRuby script models for recording the test scripts.Marathon test runner generates Allure test reports.Marathon allows for grouping of test cases. It also has an option of inserting modules while recording(in MarathonITE while recording). It allows tester to inset checklist while recording and also takes screen capture and annotate it in playing the test cases. Extraction of code into modules and inserting it is very easy using marathon. It has different themes of UI which attracts tester to do work on it. Object mapping is quite simple and configuring is very easy for tester to understand and do the work. Debugging of test scripts is also easy and has script console which takes selenium commands. Slow play of test cases is also available. It allows to create multiple fixtures for different types of tests.

Proxy Tester is a proxy list tester and then it generates a wpad.dat file you can use for your browser based on working servers. wpad.dat file selects a random proxy server from the list of provided working proxy servers with each connection request.
Reads a PostgreSQL database log file, extracts the SQL statements and executes them in the same order and timing against another database server. Useful for performance tests with real-world workload.
Enterprise level performance test platform on The Grinder
nGrinder is a platform for stress tests that enables you to create test scripts, execute tests, monitor servers, and generate results simultaneously on the power of The Grinder. The open-source nGrinder offers easy ways to conduct stress tests by eliminating inconveniences and providing integrated environments. Our company NHN uses nGrinder to test several projects. Some have more than 100 million users.
A web based application for collating, analysing and reporting on JMeter test results
Tool for testing Web Map Services. It allows to run general random tests of WMS and test based on user-like behaviour.
Java app. to utilise (waste) as much CPU as it can. The application allows the user to create multiple Java threads, each performing a CPU-intensive task tasks with a selectable memory footprint. The options let you 'thrash' the aspect you want.
IIS server log analysis
IISLogAnalyzer tool provides the features to extract, ananlyze and generate response time stats . This tool generates average 90th percentile,95th percentile and 99th percentile.
SWARD (System for Weapon Allocation Research and Development) is a testbed for benchmarking weapon allocation algorithms against each other. It is intended for researchers within operations research, information fusion, and related areas.
Beet adds user behavior and performance tracking to a Spring-based Java app. HTTP requests, method calls, and SQL statements are tracked and associated to user and session. includes XML, binary XML, and JDBC loggers. See http://beet.sourceforge.net.
http_test library for HP Load Runner web scripts
http_test library simplifies creation of web based HP Load Runner scripts by supporting number of features like: specifying global settings and transactions from files, automatic transaction naming, easy handling of the http headers, text traps and assertions, automatic relogin in case authentication token gets obsolete, and many others. Read the guide attached to this project for reference.
C++ Benchmarking Library
This project is now maintained at GitHub: https://github.com/DigitalInBlue/Celero Celero is a cross-platform open source C++ benchmarking library. Written with an API similar to Google Test, Celero utilizes C++11 features, offers tested benchmarking capabilities with microsecond precision, baselining, fixtures, and easy test setup. Use the baseline feature to measure/benchmark algorithm performance against a known case to more accurately rate performance of solutions.
An independent Data Distribution Management testbed
DDMTestbed is a testbed that allows you to generate random instances and evaluate your proposed resolutive method measuring execution time, memory occupied and distance from the optimal solution. It has been written in C language.
Lack of Progress Bar (Lopb) is an Eclipse plugin that tracks how long developers wait for file check-ins/outs, code compilation, publishing apps to a web server, and other IDE background jobs to complete. Read more at http://lopb.org
Library of Approximate Adders
We provide MATLAB and Verilog Models of GeAr, and previously proposed adders (ACA-I, ETAII, ACA-II and GDA) at http://sourceforge.net/projects/approxadderlib/ GeAr is a low latency Generic Accuracy Configurable Adder that provides a higher number of potential configurations compared to state-of-the-art approximate adders, thus enabling a high degree of flexibility and trade-off between performance and output quality. These MATALB and Verilog models can allow software programmer as well as hardware designers to evaluate their code and design. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first open-source library of approximate adders that facilitates reproducible comparisons and further research and development in this direction across various layers of design abstraction. This work is a result of collaborative effort between Chair for Embedded Systems (CES) at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany and Vision Image and Signal Processing (VISpro) Lab at SEECS-NUST, Pakistan.
Boest is an application for stress testing an SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise deployment. It launches a series of tests in parallel from which we can measure performance of the BOE system
The project is moved to GitHub: https://github.com/STSSoft/DatabaseBenchmark. We will continue to upload the source and binaries here, but the code repository will be innactive. Database Benchmark is one of the most powerfull open source tools designed to stress test database management systems with large data flows. The application performs two main test scenarios: - Insertion of large amount of randomly generated records with sequential or random keys; - Read of the inserted records, ordered by their keys. Database Benchmark can be used as an additional viewpoint when the research engineers or software architects asses the appropriate background storage engine for their mission critical systems. The application contains useful tools that make it easy to test and evaluate the different solutions.
