Big Data Stream Analytics Framework.
A framework for learning from a continuous supply of examples, a data stream. Includes classification, regression, clustering, outlier detection and recommender systems. Related to the WEKA project, also written in Java, while scaling to adaptive large scale machine learning.
Jasypt (Java Simplified Encryption) is a java library which allows the developer to add basic encryption capabilities to his/her projects with minimum effort, and without the need of having deep knowledge on how cryptography works.
Polygon and line clipping and offsetting library (C++, C#, Delphi)
The Clipper library performs clipping and offsetting for both lines and polygons. All four boolean clipping operations are supported - intersection, union, difference and exclusive-or. Polygons can be of any shape including self-intersecting polygons. 17 March 2016: Since it's been some time since the last update, some may be wondering if I no longer plan further updates. I do have plans for more updates but I also have a chronic health condition (not life threatening) that's set me back, and I don't really have a good idea when I'll restart development.
JGAP is a Genetic Algorithms and Genetic Programming package written in Java. It is designed to require minimum effort to use, but is also designed to be highly modular. JGAP features grid functionality and a lot of examples. Many unit tests included. Legal notice/Impressum: Klaus Meffert An der Struth 25 D-65510 Idstein sourceforge <at> klausmeffert.de
The JTS Topology Suite is an API for modelling and manipulating 2-dimensional linear geometry. It provides numerous geometric predicates and functions. JTS conforms to the Simple Features Specification for SQL published by the Open GIS Consortium.
jFuzzyLogic is a java implementation of a Fuzzy Logic software package. It implements a complete Fuzzy inference system (FIS) as well as Fuzzy Control Logic compliance (FCL) according to IEC 61131-7 (formerly 1131-7).
SimMetrics is a Similarity Metric Library, e.g. from edit distance's (Levenshtein, Gotoh, Jaro etc) to other metrics, (e.g Soundex, Chapman). Work provided by UK Sheffield University funded by (AKT) an IRC sponsored by EPSRC, grant number GR/N15764/01.
threadpool is a cross-platform C++ thread pool library. It provides a convenient way for dispatching asynchronous tasks and can be easily customized. threadpool is based on the high-quality Boost source libraries.
Arbitrary-precision CRC calculator and algorithm finder
CRC RevEng is a portable, arbitrary-precision CRC calculator and algorithm finder. It calculates CRCs using any of the 102 preset algorithms, or a user-specified algorithm to any width. It calculates reversed CRCs to give the bit pattern that produces a desired forward CRC. CRC RevEng also reverse-engineers any CRC algorithm from sufficient correctly formatted message-CRC pairs and optional known parameters. It comprises powerful input interpretation options. Compliant with Ross Williams' Rocksoft(tm) model of parametrised CRC algorithms.
Structorizer is a little tool which you can use to create Nassi-Schneiderman Diagrams (NSD). Stuctorizer is written in Java and free for any use. The code has been moved to Github: https://github.com/fesch/Structorizer.Desktop
The Safe C Library provides bound checking memory and string functions per ISO/IEC TR24731. These functions are alternative functions to the existing standard C library that promote safer, more secure programming. The ISO/IEC Programming languages — C spec, C11, now includes the bounded APIs in Appendix K, "Bounds-checking interfaces". This latest upload supports building static library, a shared library and a linux kernel module.
An open source workbench for chemo- and bioinformatics built on the Eclipse Rich Client Platform (RCP).
jMetal is an object-oriented Java-based framework for solving multi-objective optimization problems with metaheuristics.

Linear algebra and solver library using CUDA, OpenCL, and OpenMP
ViennaCL provides high level C++ interfaces for linear algebra routines on CPUs and GPUs using CUDA, OpenCL, and OpenMP. The focus is on generic implementations of iterative solvers often used for large linear systems and simple integration into existing projects.
An OpenSource Least-Squares-Adjustment Tool
JAG3D is no longer developed at source-forge, and has moved to GitHub. Please visit https://github.com/loesler/applied-geodesy JAG3D is a simple tool to estimate geodetic 1d, 2d and 3d-networks by a least-squares-adjustment called Gauß-Markov model. For gross-error detection, the software supports common outliers tests (based on hypothesis testing) and robust L1 norm (BIBER estimator). Moreover, the software supports deformation-analysis on the observation level. This network adjustment application supports classic observations: - Distances 2D/3D, - Directions and/or azimuths, - Zenith angles, - Levelling difference as well as - GNSS-baselines 1D, 2D and 3D. Further feature (add-ons): - Coordinate-transformation (CoordTrans), - Form analyser (FormFittingToolbox), - Datum-transformation (UTM, Gauß-Krüger, Soldner; WGS84, Bessel, Krassowski, Hayford; NTv2 ...)

The source code has been migrated and is now hosted on Github: https://github.com/jenetics/jenetics Jenetics is an advanced Genetic Algorithm, Evolutionary Algorithm and Genetic Programming library, respectively, written in modern day Java. It is designed with a clear separation of the several algorithm concepts, e. g. Gene, Chromosome, Genotype, Phenotype, Population and fitness Function. Jenetics allows you to minimize or maximize the given fitness function without tweaking it. In contrast to other GA implementations, the library uses the concept of an evolution stream (EvolutionStream) for executing the evolution steps. Since the EvolutionStream implements the Java Stream interface, it works smoothly with the rest of the Java Stream API.
