The algorithm used by this MasterMind applet is very simple. Yet it is also very fast and it uses relatively few guesses.
MAIF is developed in Java 5 (especially Generics) and aims at building AI algorithms, by concentrating onto the mapping of real-world problems, while abstracting from their inner working. It can be extended with new algorithms and problem representations.

RAS is the acronym for Result Assessment System. The primary purpose of RAS is helping users manage, visualize, assess and report results obtained from experimental search algorithms.
A java tool for anytime and interactive sequence mining. Aims at providing users with a way of analyzing her activity traces and extract activity schemes from them.
An educational demo of how sorting algorithms work.
This is a small Java swing application that shows different sorting algorithms working on the same set of data. The user can modify the speed of execution and the type of data to sort and execute it step by step. The tooltip of each algorithm's box shows the source code that is executed and a little explanation got from wikipedia. This application is aided to computer science students who want to better understand how the algorithms work.
TER implements the CCSDS Recommendation for Image Data Compression (CCSDS 122.0-B-1). TER also adds new features to the Recommendation. TER is designed and programmed with the aim to provide a good basis to test and develop the CCSDS Recommendation.

Are Plain Old Java Objects (POJOs) to complex? The aim of this framework is, to convert JavaBeans (complex Java-Object graphs) in a simplified representation (JSON, XML, CSV or other object structures) or handle and control access to JavaBean properties.
Java toolkit for discrete Image and Signal processing.
JMathStudio is a Java based digital image and signal processing toolkit/library. It is simple to use, portable, light (~300 Kb), extendable and free. JMathStudio provides a developer with many of the advanced and basic discrete image and signal processing utilities ( 500+ useful operations/transforms). This is a standalone toolkit with no dependencies other than the JDK/JRE 1.5 or higher. JMathStudio support an entire image/signal processing pipeline right from the loading of the data (external image, audio, raw data) to data processing, data visualization (display and plot) and saving of the data (as external image, audio, raw data). Author: Bhavya Ajani (email@example.com) Android compatible JMathStudio is available @ https://sourceforge.net/projects/jmathstudio-android/
Approximate Subgraph Matching Algorithm for Dependency Graphs
The subgraph matching problem (subgraph isomorphism) is NP-complete. Previously, we designed an exact subgraph matching (ESM) algorithm for dependency graphs using a backtracking approach (http://esmalgorithm.sourceforge.net). We further designed an approximate subgraph matching (ASM) algorithm that is capable of detecting approximate subgraph matching based on a subgraph distance. Assume that the graph G and the subgraph Gs have m and n vertices, and km and kn edges respectively, the total worst-case algorithm complexity is O(m^n * n(n-1)/2 * km * log m). This Java implementation implements our ASM algorithm. See README file: https://sourceforge.net/projects/asmalgorithm/files/ If you use our ASM implementation to support academic research, please cite the following paper: Haibin Liu, Lawrence Hunter, Vlado Keselj, and Karin Verspoor. simple algorithm for a realtime interactive visual cortex for painting
A paint program where the canvas is the visual cortex of a simple kind of artificial intelligence. You paint with the mouse into its dreams and it responds by changing what you painted gradually. There will also be an API for using it with other programs as a general high-dimensional space. Each pixel's brightness is its own dimension. Bayesian nodes have exactly 3 childs because that is all thats needed to do NAND in a fuzzy way as Bayes' Rule which is NAND at certain extremes. NAND can be used to create any logical system. In this early version, I'm still working on edge detection and its understanding of the same shapes at different brightnesses. This will be a module of the bigger Human AI Net project and will be used for adding realtime intuitive high dimensional intelligence in audio and visual interactions with the user.
CloudI is an open-source private cloud computing framework for efficient, scalable, and stable soft-realtime event processing.
The Distributed Genetic Programming Framework is a scalable Java genetic programming environment. It comes with an optional specialization for evolving assembler-syntax algorithms. The evolution can be performed in parallel in any computer network.
This project consists of various implementations of the Graphplan algorithm. At the moment we have two implementations of Graphplan: * Emplan - A C++ implementation for Linux, Windows and MacOS X * JavaGP - A Java implementation

JaQLib is a compact Java library that supports programmers in querying all sorts of collections, DBs and XML files in a compact and intuitive manner. Example: List<MyItem> result = Jaqlib.List.selectFrom(myCollection) .where(myCondition).asList()
Offers Random numbers API for your programs written in Java.
Very lightweight and easy to use library that allows you to generate truly random numbers by means of Random.Org service. Library offers optimized algorithms for obtaining single random number or more random numbers at once, sequences of numbers, random strings etc. Also allows you to check quota. It provides algorithm to generate unspecified number of random numbers of certain total value. This algorithm still keeps server load low by sending as large requests as possible, yet all integers are truly random. ******************************************* Current version 1.5 is considered as STABLE version. All methods and whole class are documented via Javadoc. Credit goes to http://www.random.org
