    Tableau

A lightweight macOS photo widget that never crops your images.

...While Apple's native widgets force your photos into rigid squares or rectangles that crop out your subjects, Tableau preserves the exact aspect ratio of your image. A tall portrait or an ultra-wide panorama will scale perfectly without losing a single pixel. Tableau frees you from Apple's invisible grid, letting you place photos anywhere on your screen. You can point it to a folder to cycle through images with GPU-accelerated fades, and it will independently remember the exact size and position for every individual photo. For power users, Tableau offers a unique Click-Through mode. You can pin a photo above your active windows and lock it so your mouse clicks pass right through it. ...

    shod

    shod

Mouse-based window manager to tile windows inside floating containers

shod is a mouse-based X11 window manager that can tile and tab windows inside floating containers. To tile windows, drag-and-drop the titlebar of one window into the border of the other with the right mouse button. The entire grid of tiles is called a "container", and can float around on the screen. shod works via mouse, possibly with a given modifier (Alt by default), and by responding to client messages sent by the shodc utility (shod's remote controller). With the exception of the alt-tab combination for cycling windows, shod does no keybinding by itself and relies on other applications (such as sxhkd) for that.

    Material Shell

    Material Shell

A modern desktop interface for Linux. Improve your user experience

...It's meant to be 100% predictable and bring the benefits of tools coveted by professionals to everyone. A Workspace is an applications container that can be visualized as a row and applications as cells. Every new application is automatically positioned inside this grid at the end of its workspace row and every new workspaces are appended at the bottom which is very predictable and always sorted automatically. This allows us to provide intuitive navigation by moving the screen around a larger context. Navigating up and down will change the current workspace and navigating left and right changes the current window(s) on screen.

...Named in honor of 閔齊伋, a 16th-century printer. Intended to be used with Kenyan-lang, the Classical Chinese programming language. Download high-resolution PDFs and split pages into images. Manually lay a grid on top of each page to generate bounding boxes for characters (potentially replaceable by an automatic corner-detection algorithm).
