xpad is a sticky pad, or "post-it" note, system for X. It creates GTK-powered pads in which you can write handy notes to yourself. These customizable pads are saved and loaded transparently.
PAD stands for Portable Application Description. PAD is an XML-based open format to describe downloadable applications. By using the PAD system, developers save time by having to create a description of their software packages only once.
Synapse is an OpenGL-based 2D GUI that will include zooming interface features similar to Pad++. New applications, compatibility with X, and related subprojects (such as making Mesa or the newly-released OpenGL SI not reliant on X) are priorities.
