This AppleScript "Open Applications folder" opens a Finder window for the "Applications" directory in a fixed size. The Finder sometimes "suffers" from amnesia regarding to its window sizes. For those of us who have legacy software, the deprecation of gdk_imlib in gtk+-2.0 and gtk+-2.0 is a headache.
