FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), released under the Apache license. Enjoy the freedom of using your software wherever you want, the way you want it, in a world where interoperability can finally liberate your computing experience. The nightly builds are installed into /opt/freerdp-nightly and can be installed in parallel with the distributions regular freerdp package. Network tracing of RDP can be quite a challenge due to a number of factors such as encryption, compression, and the fact that these protocol features cannot always be disabled or worked around. One of the easiest way of decrypting RDP traffic is to configure the server with a self-signed certificate for which the private key is known, and then use this certificate with a network tracing tool to automatically decrypt the packets. -

Source Han Serif is a set of OpenType/CFF Pan-CJK fonts. In addition to functional OpenType fonts, this open source project provides all of the source files that were used to build these OpenType fonts by using the AFDKO makeotf and otf2otc tools. Individual font resources or ZIP files for various deployment configurations are available for download. To help decide which fonts to download, please refer to the Configurations section of the official font readme file. Those who are unfamiliar with GitHub are encouraged to reference the official Source Han download guide, which is provided in English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. You can also download entire releases that include all available configurations in a single ZIP file. The ZIP file for the latest release is approximately 2GB. -

ModernFlyouts is an open source application designed to replace the default Metro-style flyouts in Windows with a more modern, Fluent Design–based user interface. Instead of the old built-in popups for system feedback like volume, brightness, and airplane mode, ModernFlyouts temporarily intercepts those events and displays customizable flyouts that blend more seamlessly with recent Windows UI aesthetics. It extends beyond audio flyouts to cover media controls, brightness changes, airplane mode toggles, and even lock key indicators such as Caps Lock and Num Lock, offering a unified experience for all these system notifications. Users can adjust not just the look but the behavior of these flyouts (including layout, position, opacity, and animation) letting it feel more natural to individual preferences. The project’s roots trace back to AudioFlyout by ADeltaX, with further enhancements added by the community to support more flyout types and improved interaction. -

Monitorian is a desktop utility designed for Windows that gives users a simple and centralized way to control the brightness (and optionally contrast) of multiple displays from one place. It supports both built-in laptop screens and external monitors, allowing adjustments either on a per-monitor basis or all together at once, making it especially useful for multi-monitor setups. The app displays sliders for each connected monitor, and on systems with ambient light sensors it can show both the configured brightness and the sensor-adjusted brightness to help you fine-tune lighting according to your environment. Monitorian also lets you adjust the range of brightness and contrast values for each monitor so you can set custom limits that better match your preferences.
