A front-end to Jekyll that parses C++ sources
A front-end to Jekyll that parses C++ sources to produce and enforce out-of-line documentation. hyde is a utility that facilitates documenting C++. The tool is unique from existing documentation utilities. Many tools rely on documentation placed inline within the source as long-form comments. While these seem appealing at first blush, they suffer from two big drawbacks. First, there is nothing keeping the comments from falling out of sync with the elements they document. Secondly (and ironically), experienced users of these libraries eventually find inline documentation to be more of a distraction than a help, cluttering code with comments they no longer read. In order to properly document your C++, hyde compiles it using Clang's excellent libTooling library. Therefore, as the C++ language evolves, so too will hyde. -

This is a tool that can convert any image into a pure CSS image. I also made a per-pixel animation experiment using the box-shadow idea, see morphin. Pure CSS, this output was created by resizing and setting each pixel as a box shadow of a single-pixel div, so no IMG tag or background image is needed. This can result in huge outputs, and the use of this output is not recommended for production unless there is no other option. Base64, the entire image file is embedded inside the <img> tag using base64, so no need for external hosting is needed. -

A vim plugin to display the indention levels with thin vertical lines
indentLine is a Vim plugin that visually displays indentation levels using thin vertical lines while editing code. It relies on Vim 7.3+'s conceal feature to render lines for spaces-based indentation only. This plugin takes advantage of the newly provided conceal feature in Vim 7.3, so this plugin will not work with lower versions of Vim. To apply customization, apply the variable definitions to your .vimrc file. This plugin enables the Vim conceal feature which automatically hides stretches of text based on syntax highlighting. This setting will apply to all syntax items. Even though this plugin requires conceal to be enabled for it to work, it is possible to disable conceal for JSON and Markdown files and still get the indentLine plugin to show indent lines for those files. -

It's just where I share things I've built, written, or done. I've been working on this site in various forms since around 2005. Initially it was just a customized Blogger page for a few years. Then, I designed and built the first version around 2008 after teaching myself to write HTML and CSS (and eventually some shoddy PHP). I launched the first version sometime around 2009. Ever since, I've been redesigning every few years. I've republished the older verions as repo dumps and GH pages just for fun and posterity. -
