    Linenoise

    Linenoise

A small self-contained alternative to readline and libedit

Linenoise is an ultra-lightweight, self-contained C library that implements line editing (single and multi-line) for terminal applications, intended as a simpler alternative to the much larger GNU Readline or libedit libraries. The library is zero-config, meaning you just include the source file(s) and use it, without heavy dependencies or external configuration. It supports basic editing features: moving the cursor, inserting characters, handling history, tab-completion, and hints, plus a multiplexing mode where the prompt can be hidden/restored when asynchronous output appears. It works on most VT100/ANSI-compatible terminals, and is portable across Unix-like systems. The code is compact (around 850 lines excluding comments) and designed for minimal footprint embedding into other projects (like CLI tools) that need line editing but don’t want the complexity of linking large libraries.

    Reliable PostgreSQL Backup & Restore

    Reliable PostgreSQL Backup & Restore

    Reliable PostgreSQL backup and restore

...More cores and a larger pipe lead to even higher throughput. A custom protocol allows pgBackRest to backup, restore, and archive locally or remotely via TLS/SSH with minimal configuration. An interface to query PostgreSQL is also provided via the protocol layer so that remote access to PostgreSQL is never required, which enhances security.

    TDengine

    TDengine

    Open-source time-series database with high-performance and scalability

...TDengine’s innovative design and purpose-built storage engine outperforms other time-series databases for data ingestion, querying and data compression while significantly reducing storage and computing costs. TDengine’s native distributed architecture powers out-of-the-box scalability and high availability. Nodes can be added through simple configuration to achieve greater data processing power. In addition, this feature is open source. TDengine uses SQL as the query language, thereby reducing learning and migration costs, while adding SQL extensions to handle time-series data better, and supporting convenient and flexible schemaless data ingestion.

    DBD2

    A multi-threaded, multi-database tcp-based database insertion app.

...The back-end daemon accepts data from Syslogd2 or its own client and inserts that data (and envelope information) into one or more databases using MySql client library or dbi drivers (also on SourceForge). The client needs no configuration (all input is via command-line). It is intended for hosts to make database entries without needing database client or interface code. Syslogd2 integration allows DBD2 to act as Syslogd2's database back-end for MySql and other databases supported by the dbi drivers. Original purpose was to track Linux cluster job status but other uses exist.

    hippocampus

    shared memory object server database

...The idea behind this confusing words is to have a python's like environment able to share objects across multiple processes, removing the GIL but restrincting the use of this environment to data manipulation. The motivation is to avoid all the ORM configuration, SQL manipulation and objects replications needed when using an rdbms. I want to implementation the engine with C as it is a commonly known language and it has a good support of the linux's shared memory. I have already done an encouraging poc with C and mmap.
