Intensive Julia workshop that takes you from zero to hero

...Nevertheless, it assumes only rudimentary programming familiarity and does explain concepts that go beyond the basics. The goal of the workshop is to take you from zero to hero (regarding Julia): even if you know nothing about Julia, by the end you should be able to use it like a pro. The material has been updated during July-December 2023 to Julia v1.9+ and the corresponding latest stable versions of used packages

    IntervalRootFinding.jl

    IntervalRootFinding.jl

Find all roots of a function in a guaranteed way with Julia

This package provides guaranteed methods for finding roots of functions, i.e. solutions to the equation f(x) == 0 for a function f. To do so, it uses methods from interval analysis, using interval arithmetic from the IntervalArithmetic.jl package by the same authors. The basic function is roots. A standard Julia function and an interval is provided and the roots function return a list of intervals containing all roots of the function located in the starting interval.

    ReverseDiff

    ReverseDiff

Reverse Mode Automatic Differentiation for Julia

ReverseDiff is a fast and compile-able tape-based reverse mode automatic differentiation (AD) that implements methods to take gradients, Jacobians, Hessians, and higher-order derivatives of native Julia functions (or any callable object, really). While performance can vary depending on the functions you evaluate, the algorithms implemented by ReverseDiff generally outperform non-AD algorithms in both speed and accuracy.

    mapcn

    mapcn

Beautiful map components, 100% Free, Zero config, one command setup

mapcn is a research-oriented project centered on mapping continuous control in reinforcement learning to structured policies using neural networks. It explores how high-dimensional action spaces can be decomposed into structured primitives that can be learned, composed, and reused across different tasks. The core idea is to enable agents to generalize learned behavior by representing continuous control policies in a compact, interpretable form that preserves smoothness and controllability....

    brms

brms R package for Bayesian generalized multivariate models using Stan

brms is an R package by Paul Bürkner which provides a high-level interface for fitting Bayesian multilevel (i.e. mixed effects) models, generalized linear / non-linear / multivariate models using Stan as the backend. It allows R users to specify complex Bayesian models using formula syntax similar to lme4 but with far more flexibility (distributions, link functions, hierarchical structure, nonlinear terms, etc.). It supports model diagnostics, posterior predictive checking, model comparison,...

Maxima -- GPL CAS based on DOE-MACSYMA

Maxima -- GPL CAS based on DOE-MACSYMA

Computer Algebra System written in Common Lisp

Maxima is a computer algebra system comparable to commercial systems like Mathematica and Maple. It emphasizes symbolic mathematical computation: algebra, trigonometry, calculus, and much more. For example, Maxima solves x^2-r*x-s^2-r*s=0, giving the symbolic results [x=r+s, x=-s]. It can also calculate with exact integers and fractions, native floating-point, and high-precision big floats. Maxima has user-friendly front-ends, an online manual, plotting commands, and numerical libraries. It features its own programming language, and many users have contributed useful packages in various areas over the decades. ...

    MandelbrotExplorer

A program to calculate and represent the Mandelbrot set

...The user disposes of a graphical interface to control the program and modify conveniently some parameters, like the XY-scales, the XY map area, the Julia seed for the complex series iteration of Z(n+1)=Z(n)^2+a, being Z(0)=(X0,Y0) the seed, and "a in XY" the points to be calculated. The user can enter (among other parameters) the desired convergence-radius R for the series, and/or the number of maximal iterations N for the generator-equation in Z.

    Flame Graphs

    Flame Graphs

    Stack trace visualizer

...Recently I've been helping with d3-flame-graph. The x-axis shows the stack profile population, sorted alphabetically (it is not the passage of time), and the y-axis shows stack depth, counting from zero at the bottom. Each rectangle represents a stack frame. The wider a frame is is, the more often it was present in the stacks. The top edge shows what is on-CPU, and beneath it is its ancestry. The colors are usually not significant, picked randomly to differentiate frames. Flame charts were first added by Google Chrome's WebKit Web Inspector (bug). ...

    React Trend

    Simple, elegant spark lines

Unfortunately, none of this project's authors have the time/enthusiasm to maintain this project right now. We recommend forking this project, or reading its source to learn how it's built). Graphing tools are often complex, abstract, and heavy. They require domain-specific knowledge and significant time investment. While building rich data visualizations for an analytics app, is a necessary cost. But what if you just need a sparkline that shows a trend? These are very simple and elegant...

    CS Figures

    CS Figures

Heuristic-based fractal and music generator-256+ systems.

Welcome to CSFigures, the generative rendering program for all sorts of interpretations of digital roots. Digital roots in this program are constructed on a basis of a multiplication table, but with alternate counting systems contrasted, different from 0-9. The data is then analyzed by adding the imaginary digital symbols together, to achieve a single digit number, or alternately working with heuristics such as finding the last digit of each number. You may see your options once you make a selection of your desired counting system length, and a text file of the first square root of the whole system is thereafter generated. ...

    LogisticBell

Here we test the Logistic Map using finite and infinite precision...

Here we test the Logistic Map using finite and infinite precision floats (Apfloats). More decimals produce longer sequence (longer chaotic signal for certain parameters). Shorter decimal precision makes the sequence converge to zero eventually. In the process, number of decimals rises and then drops for some reason, forming a bell-shaped curve with long tail. On second consideration, this does not look like a bell-shaped curve at all. Logistic map calculated with parameters x initial = 0.9 and r = 4.
